Another Floridian Chooses Badgers

Earlier this week we told you that Florida cornerback Antonio Fenelus narrowed his choices down to Wisconsin and Florida Atlantic. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder, from Boca Raton had an in-home visit from Badgers assistant Coach Dave Doeren who left the Fenelus home a very happy man.

"Yes, I'm definitely committed to Wisconsin now." Antonio Fenelus told Badger Nation.

"What it came down to was just a gut feeling. Coach Doeren came to my house last night and I just came away with the feeling that everyone told me to look for. The gut feeling I got was that Wisconsin was the place for Me.

"Wisconsin is a great school with a very good football tradition. I've followed Wisconsin a little bit because of the fact that they have some guys on the team from Florida. Wisconsin has great fans and they play in a major conference.

"Another reason I chose Wisconsin is because the coaches told me that they'll stick by me as far as making sure or helping me get qualified this year. I have a little work to do on my ACT but I'm confident that I'll qualify.

"Coach Doeren and Coach Bielema told me that my education is important to them and they'll do everything they can to make sure I get my degree. They cared more about me as a person and that meant a lot to me.

"I've already called Aaron Henry and gave him the good news. We've been talking a lot lately and I'm going to try to get in touch with other guys from Florida that are verbally committed."

Antonio Fenelus had 60 tackles and 2 interceptions this past season. He ran one of those pics back for a touchdown. On offense, Antonio racked up 450 yards rushing, scoring 5 touchdowns.
