Brendan Kelly, a 6-foot-6, 234-pound, defensive end, from the Academy of Holy Angels, in Richfield, Minn., finished his season with over 100 tackles and racked up 19 sacks. Those numbers were good enough to earn Kelly all-state and all-metro honors. Here are the first of what will be several highlights from Brendan's senior season.
On film, Brendan Kelly reminds me a lot of former Nebraska star Adam Carriker. Kelly has tremendous wing-span, he rips off the edge well and makes plays. Plays well above the competition in high school.
Kelly could get frustrated in his early career as a Badger as he steps up in competition but he has a bright future. I'd bet with the help of a great strength & conditioning program, a training table and the outstanding coaching of Randall McCray, Brendan ends up an outstanding football player for the Badgers.
