Brian Butch Eve - Butch to make decision Wednesday

All eyes will be on Appleton West High School Wednesday at noon, as Brian Butch announces his college decision.

In a little more than 24 hours, the Wisconsin basketball program could have the biggest commitment in the history of its program.

Or it could suffer a huge disappointment. Brian Butch, the 6-11, 215-pound star from Appleton West High School, will announce his final decision. He is reportedly down to three choices -Wisconsin, Marquette and North Carolina.

Arizona was originally in the mix for Butch's services, but the Wildcats chose to use their final scholarship on Kirk Walters, a 6-10 center from Grand Rapids, Mich.

Butch has been wined and dined by his finalists, and he's thoroughly weighed the pros and cons of every school. He's stated that he would like his parents to be able to watch every game, which could be the biggest strike against North Carolina. But the Tar Heels are certainly alive, and as of last week, Butch had not entirely made up his mind. An illness to his grandmother caused him to delay his decision (he originally planned to make an announcement last week). Butch will make the announcement at his high school, in a press conference scheduled to begin at noon CST.
