Alando Tucker has just two games of experience under his belt, but he's already dazzled UW crowds with his ability to perform thunderous dunks, including a monster alley-oop in the exhibition finale.
Tucker's leaping ability has been documented, as he shattered Michael Finley's previous school record for vertical leap.
Tucker's standing vertical was 37.5 inches, more than two inches better than the previous mark, while his approach vertical -- which allows for two steps before the jump -- was 45.5 inches, also a school record.
"I was in awe because I really didn't know (I got the record)," Tucker said. "I didn't really pay attention to the records or anything. I knew I improved from when we first got here earlier in the summer, after we had time to rest. But I didn't realize how high I jumped."
Tucker scored 11 points in 27 minutes versus Northern Illinois last week, and has hit 6-of-12 attempts from the floor in two games.
