Opening Comments:

"Some of you guys are probably taking lines on what I am going to open up with but it's not what happens during the course of the game it's how you react to it. And I think our guys defined that today. Starting out the way we did, obviously we could control some of those things early on some of the miscues, penalties all of the things that contributed to us having the start that we did. We settled down on the sidelines, had a few spirited conversations and put our guys on the right track. To walk off that field scoring 51-straight points without giving up any makes you want to pack up our bags and head to Fresno and keep playing. I really like the energy that they showed throughout the rest of the game. Even our two's got in there and had a chance to do some things. So we are excited about this team and I think it's a great indication of who they are."

On concerns about the start of the game:

"I would refrain from making too many decisions. I know we had penalties that hurt us. I don't know if I can get into specific of any individual players or group that did it, but obviously we didn't start off on the right foot. Those are concerning. But the things that you try to focus on are the positives and those are things that we continue to move forward."

On what turned the team around: "I think the kickoff that gave us field position. Actually you know what? We had a return on that, and we were pretty jacked up in the huddle. We hadn't broke it out yet but I thought that was going to go. Based on the field position, you know the NCAA changed the rule that gave it from the 35 out to the 40. Any kick you know we felt we were going to get a good return and all but to start the ball on the 40, have a big play by Lance Kendricks, he's the guy that we have been kind of waiting to see him make that big play because he's done it in practice. He's extremely gifted athletically. He reminds me a lot of the things Travis (Beckum) is able to do and obviously with Travis' absence he was able to capitalize there."

On the team rallying around Evridge: "He threw a couple balls and threw them on time, on rhythm and a couple guys made nice plays. Garrett Graham I thought had a couple nice grabs. Kyle Jefferson had some nice individual efforts out there as well. It's easy to get behind guys that complete balls, I mean that's fun, you go out and slap them on the back and say good job. We just got in a rhythm there and I think you can kind of see the pendulum swing and for us to be able to start the way we did in the second half is a lot of individual effort and there was some good coaching going on at halftime as well."
