The Wisconsin football team won't hit the gridiron until Friday afternoon, following a 13-day layoff after the final game of the regular season.
The Badgers will be in the weight room conditioning early this week, but will not practice until Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
Meanwhile, the UW coaching staff has been all over the nation recruiting. Yesterday marked the transition from the evaluation period to a contact period in which coaches can make in-home visits.
Coach Barry Alvarez, as usual, has hit the road hard, making three in-home visits Sunday and one more today.
Alvarez visited the three in-state commits -- Justin Ostrowski, Danny Kaye and Tyler Donovan -- before flying to Florida this morning to visit tight end prospect Pat Danahy.
Paul Chryst visited Joe Thomas, Luke Knauf and Greg Bracey on Sunday, as the Badgers covered all their bases inside the state of Wisconsin.
The rest of the Badger coaching staff is scattered all over the nation, and has been for the past week.
The Badgers will kick off the first of three huge recruiting weekends this Friday. Look for full coverage of recruiting and bowl practices on the site.
