Upperclassmen Lead Second-Half Charge

Seniors Joe Krabbenhoft and Marcus Landry along with junior Jason Bohannon address the media after the Badgers hold off the Warhawks in the final exhibition tune up for Wisconsin.

Wisconsin post game -

On concerns at halftime: "Well we knew that we had to step it up in a lot of things. The guards first got in there and then there was the offensive things that we knew we had to get accomplished. We knew we had to pick it up. They executed well in the first half and they had a couple of open shots and I thought that everybody throughout the whole line did a great job of making the tough shots."

On concerns at half time: "Well one thing that coach has always emphasized in practice is scoring. I think that just like Joe said, we had to pick it up and we are right there in the game. We said at half time that the score was 0-0 and they were right in the game. We came out and we got rebounds and things like that and it really helped us out."

On the offense in the second half: "Well I think the first half, they were doing a lot of pressure. The whole thing that we were trying to focus on was moving the ball and I think we were trying to pass to whoever. The second half it was the same thing. More of our touches were at the post and we all had the rebounds. That's where it was. It was in the paint. It wasn't so much as getting the ball. It was driving in the lane and making plays. It was about getting in the paint."

On the rest of the season: "We need to get better as a team. You have been watching Wisconsin basketball for a long time. That's what we try to do here. We just want to keep on improving."

On the rest of the season: "Last year we got tremendously better as the year went on and I think that's our biggest goal right now is to just keep getting better every day and Coach Ryan won't settle for everything less. We just want to improve as the season goes on."
