Gorowsky (on Cheverie):
"I think we made him look like a good goaltender. I mean, there are times when the puck goes to the net and he's flopping all over in there. We made him look better than he really was. I know myself, I had more than enough opportunities to put the puck in the net this weekend, and for whatever reason, I couldn't. A number of other guys had chances to put the puck in the net. So maybe he had a great weekend himself, or maybe we made him look good. At the end of the day, we didn't get the puck in the net and it gives them momentum. That's a big part of the game; if you can't score goals, you can't win the game."
Connelly (on getting pulled):
"I gave up a soft goal to get the game started, so Coach tried to shake things up. I wasn't playing on my game tonight, I was a little shaky. The first goal didn't really start off the right way that I want to, especially after how last night finished. I didn't give the team a chance to win from the get-go, so Coach thought it would be best to change the momentum, get Scott in there and see if he could spark the team."
McBain (on Denver's success against UW this season):
"I wish I could give you (an explanation). Even in my career here at Wisconsin, I don't think I've played very well against Denver. I wish I could tell you something, but I'm not as sure as I should (be)."
Gorowsky (on whether the effort was there tonight):
(takes a second before answering): "I know we wanted to win, and at times, I thought we were pressuring pretty good. We created great scoring chances, and then for whatever reason there were letdowns. But I believe everyone in the room wanted to win and approached the game like we were going to be successful tonight. I'd have to watch the game, but at least, I felt when I was out there, the people I was with were working hard."
