Two Texas Updates

Heartland Recruiting Expert David Garvin checks in with two recruiting updates from the state of Texas -- San Antonio's Kyle Ingraham and Fort Worth's Charleston Gray.

On Thursday night, Heartland Recruiting asked Ingraham for an updated height, weight and what position he wants to play on the next level.

"I'm currently six-foot-nine and weigh between 210-215-lbs," Ingraham said. "I would like to play wide receiver (as opposed to tight end). Both schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver."

And who are those schools?

"Arizona and Purdue," he said. "I have an official visit scheduled to Arizona for January 10th and one to Purdue for the 17th. I'm also considering visits to either Wisconsin (had originally scheduled for 12/13), TCU or Mississippi State for January 24th."

Ingraham and the Clark basketball team have been extremely busy, winning the Victoria Memorial Basketball Tournament on the December 13th weekend, with Kyle (playing post) averaging 15 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots, receiving All-Tournament honors. They're currently ranked 5th in the state, already posting a 2-0 mark in district play.

"I made an official visit to Wisconsin on December 20th," Gray told HR on Thursday night. "This month, I'll be visiting Texas A&M on the 10th, North Carolina on the 17th and Missouri on the 24th. North Carolina and Missouri have already offered. Iowa wants me to visit on the 31st, but I told them I would have to check that date first."

Gray was asked what he had been doing since the season ended.

"I've just been taking it easy during the holidays," he said. "But I have been getting ready for track season. I'll be throwing the shot and possibly the discuss also."
