A Busy Month

A month ago, Sherard Cadogan was sitting with three scholarship offers. Now, the Camden Catholic outside linebacker has seen firsthand his recruitment take off, picking up eight more scholarship offers and making him weigh many more options.

MADISON - Coming off a successful junior season, in where he led his team to the semi-finals of the state tournament and a 9-2 record, linebacker/tight end Sherard Cadogan won't rush his decision on which school he would like to attend. Looking for that right fit, Cadogan is weighing all his options; options that have increases tenfold over the past month.

"I'm taking things day by day and one step at a time" said Cadogan to Badger Nation.

Cadogan finished his junior season on the offensive side with a total of 35 passes for 481 yards.

This summer Cadogan has been working out heavily, keeping his body in playing shape and working on improving certain attributes to become a better football player.

"I'm training and lifting weights, working on my speed and explosion," Cadogan said. "In about two weeks, I will be looking over film to improve myself mentally." Cadogan has received multiple offers from schools such as: Stanford, UCONN, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Iowa, South Florida, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Maryland and Wisconsin.

Out of those schools, Cadogan has a few favorites that stand out for him.

"Pittsburgh and Wisconsin peak my interest," he said. "I visited Pittsburgh and it was a positive experience. Wisconsin has also caught my interest. I know they offered our quarterback (Joe Brennan), too. I like their style of play."

This summer, Cadogan has upcoming visits to Stanford, Syracuse and Wisconsin. In regards to what he brings, Cadogan believes he has the skills necessary to succeed at the next level.

"My overall leadership along with my smartness, physicality, toughness, and speed to explode off the ball are attributes that I have will help me succeed at the next level." said Cadogan.

His plans for the future are very optimistic and he knows he will make the right choice when it needs to be made.

"I plan on making my decision around next summer. Hopefully around National Signing Day." said Cadogan.
