Although his team started strong with a 4-0 record, they couldn't maintain that momentum, ending with a record of 7-4 and had an early exit in the state tournament losing in the first round.
Jones has his focus along with his offseason workouts going towards making sure that his team starts and finishes strong in his senior season and obtains a state championship.
Although he hasn't narrowed down his list of offers, Jones will spend plenty of time looking at schools in the Midwest, as half of those offers are coming from the Big Ten conference.
Jones likes those schools because they are all winning programs. Jones wants to play for a team that's known for winning and be coached by a staff that knows when to get it done.
Jones feels he has several aspects that are valuable and that separate him from the rest of the top recruits at his position.
"I'm very versatile and consider myself an all around type of a receiver, that's elusive and has great hands. Speed is one of my greatest strengths," said Jones.
When it comes to the Badgers, Jones is impressed with their team and what they stand for. He even has a close connection with one player.
"I've known Aubrey Pleasant since we were kids. My mom was his former Dare teacher and right now his dad is my defensive backs coach," said Jones.
Jones knows that his skills and character will help an already strong team and a potent offense at Wisconsin.
"I'll be another weapon added to the offense, my positive character will rub off on my teammates and I know that I can be a leader," said Jones.
Jones plans to make a commitment either at the end of September or the beginning of next summer.
