Al Johnson/Ben Johnson Senior Bowl Feedback

Al Johnson and Ben Johnson will both compete in today's Senior Bowl in Mobile (AL.) representing the North squad. Badger Nation spoke to one agent that's been in Alabama all week and had some anonymous feedback regarding the Johnsons.

Al and Ben Johnson are both looking to make a big impression in today's Senior Bowl, which is broadcast on ESPN (1 p.m. CST), but more importantly, is being played in front of NFL scouts, coaches and agents looking to sign the two players.

One agent, speaking to Badger Nation anonymous, offered some feedback regarding Al and Ben Johnson.

According to the source, Al Johnson's stock continues to rise, and he's considered a lock in the first round of the NFL Draft. Everyone is raving about his skills, attitude, his feet, quickness off the ball and his upside. Most experts feel Johnson is the type of player that can play in the league for many years at a very high level.

But according to the same source, the word surrounding Ben Johnson isn't quite as positive. His stock apparently has dropped, as there is concern about his ability to protect the quarterback. His pass-protection is considered below-average. The agent said he will likely be moved to right tackle almost immediately in the NFL, and there is even talk about using him at guard. His run-blocking skills are considered excellent, but he would be a liability in pass protection at the next level.

Of course, that is only one opinion. We hope to get a lot more thoughts on the matter when the UW holds its "Pro Day" in March.
