Although the Badgers have made a strong statement in the state of Ohio over the last two seasons, Moeller defensive end Marcus Rush preferred something more to his liking. With the combination of being close to home and having solid facilities, Rush gave his verbal commitment to Michigan State Saturday.
Ohio native and junior defensive end Marcus Rush
has committed to Michigan State
on Saturday, becoming the Spartans 11th known verbal commit for the 2010 class. Rush felt was looking for the most comfortable fit and the Spartans were the right fit.
"I liked everything from the school to the campus to the coaching staff," said Rush to Badger Nation.
It was down to Virginia, Michigan, and Michigan State as the finalists with Wisconsin coming in fourth. For Rush, there were more cons then pros when it came to the Badgers.
"Wisconsin was pretty cool but I didn't like the campus and it would be a long drive for me," said Rush, a three-star prospect and rated the 77th-best defensive end in the country by Scout.com.
Overall Rush's comfort level with Wisconsin was to low for him in relation to the other three schools.
