On the learning experience of the close end of the game: "I think that we didn't play as tough as we could. I definitely think we need to stay focused for the entire game and that's what I was trying to do."

On when he knew the play call for the first game: "We knew probably three days before the game. We've been repping it."

On the key to selling the first play: "Really it was just based on their game plan and their cover two. We knew what defense they were going to play and they just kind of left us wide open on that play."

On being that wide open on the first play: "It was just another thing of game planning. We had that play called and Coach Chryst was saying all week we should strike up the band after that play. It was definitely a good call by Coach Chryst."
