Padding the Resume

After stuck on zero offers, Conard Johnson is starting to see his recruitment pick up.

MADISON - Conard Johnson received a lot of early interest from a number of schools around the country. Now, Johnson has begun to gather written offers.

The Dillard High School prospect updated Badger Nation with the latest in his recruitment.

"Right now my recruiting is going good," Johnson said. "I have received offers from Tulsa and Western Kentucky. Other big schools such as Illinois and Vanderbilt are going to offer, along with Illinois State."

The 5-foot-11, 212-pound middle linebacker has a couple of offers in hand and that number should only continue to grow over the spring and summer.

Johnson will continue to make his presence felt by most likely attending camps at Florida, Florida State and Tulsa.

Wisconsin was one of Johnson's favorites earlier in the year, but the Badgers have yet to pull the trigger with an offer.

"Everybody is talking good besides Wisconsin," Johnson said. "Me and Coach Partridge lost contact with each other. He doesn't answer his phone anymore. So now Wisconsin is towards the bottom of my list."

Wisconsin received a verbal commitment from linebacker Jake Keefer (Baldwin, WI) last month, which may have decreased the Badgers recruitment of Johnson.

If the Badgers regain their interest in the talented junior, they could move back towards the top of Johnson's list.
