Badgers After One of Aquinas' Biggest Talents

After having at least one players from St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) in the last two recruiting classes, the Wisconsin coaching staff is setting its sights on a third and aiming high, targeted highly-coveted lineman Bobby Hart.

MADISON - Wisconsin has begun to build a small pipeline from St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida over the past few years. In the last two classes Wisconsin has signed LB Conor O'Neill and DB Dezmen Southward in 2009 and RB James White in 2010.

Now the Badgers look to continue that in the class of 2011 with Bobby Hart.

Hart has racked up over 40 offers including Wisconsin, Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Georgia, and Michigan. While Wisconsin has been recruiting Hart for some time, Hart isn't sure about his interest in the Badgers.

"I'm not sure," Hart told Badger Nation. "I haven't talked to them too much. I talked to a few coaches when they came down and talked to James White."

The 6-foot-5, 295 pound offensive lineman is being recruited at left tackle by most schools. Hart will man that position for St. Thomas Aquinas as they are about to start their spring practice.

"It starts this Saturday," Hart said. "It is just practice. Then most people play a team, but we just play kind of a scrimmage."

With James White heading to the Badgers in the summer, Hart has someone that can get him up to speed on the Badgers.

"He just told me that it was a real good program to check out," Hart said. "I haven't really looked into it, but if I check it out and I feel like it's the right place for me, I will go there."

Hart has a few ideas about what he is looking for in a school.

"Academics and everything," Hart explained. "I want to get along with my position coach. I know playing time will come. I don't have to worry about that. I know I can play."

With spring practice approaching, Hart hasn't had time to hammer out a visit schedule, but he does want to visit a few schools this summer. After his visits during the summer Hart may get a better feel for when he will make a decision.

"Whenever I feel that it's right," Hart said. "I am going to take all five of my official visits."
