Another player from South Carolina with a Wisconsin offer is Pat Martin from Greenville, SC, a three-star safety that is ranked No.35 in the country at his position by Scout.com.
One of Martin's most recent scholarship offers was from the Badgers in early May.
"They came to my school, I think the first week of the evaluation period, that Thursday (May 6)," Martin told Badger Nation. "They came to my class and offered me a scholarship."
Martin had 112 tackles, two interceptions (returned one for a TD), 12 pass breakups and four forced fumbles for J L Mann High School.
While the Badgers are new to his offer list, Martin said he was interested in Wisconsin.
"I'm not going to narrow it down until, probably, the end of the summer," Martin said.
By that time, Martin will have a better idea of what schools fit his criteria.
"One, education," Martin explained. "Two, the coaches' ability. Three, I'm trying to find a program that will get me NFL ready and a coaching staff that will make me a better man."
Martin followed a specific school growing up and it was a surprise that it wasn't an in-state school.
"I followed Florida growing up," Martin said. "I'm not getting that much interest right now, but I'm going to their Friday Night Lights camp, too."
To help Martin narrow down his list, he has a few visits in mind for the summer.
"I know I'm going to Tennessee, because my mom loves Tennessee, so I'm going there," Martin said. "Then I'm probably going to LSU, and Florida."
It seems as though Martin will take his recruitment the distance or close to it.
"I'm going to take all five official visits," Martin said. "I know for sure I'm going to UCLA. After those I'll make a decision."
