Rumor Central: Glenn to Hire Glenn

No official announcements have been made, but the word on the web is that Joe Glenn is keeping his next coaching replacement in the family…

It appears the Cowboys have a new tight ends coach, although the choice is hardly a new face—or a new name—to Wyoming fans.

Joe Glenn will hire his son Casey Glenn to replace former tight ends coach Harvey Patton who left the program in February, www.wyonation.com reported yesterday.

A 2002 graduate of Carroll College, Casey Glenn worked as a graduate assistant coach at Idaho State, the offensive line and strength and speed coach at South Dakota and a graduate assistant at Oklahoma before completing his master's degree in human relations and moving to Wyoming. For the past year, he has worked as the Director of Football Operations for the Cowboys.

Wyonation.com creator Brad Reed said he reported the information on his Web site after a "reliable" source told him of the coaching change. The hire is not official, however; the elder Glenn has yet to make any announcements about a replacement.

Both Glenns have been working heavily with the tight ends in practices this spring.
