Holloway to Participate at Draft Combine

The 2012 NBA Draft Combine begins tomorrow morning in Chicago for NBA hopefuls like 2012 Xavier University graduate and former Musketeer All-American Tu Holloway. The Combine will run June 7-8 for NBA prospects.

Fans can follow the 2012 NBA Draft Combine on ESPNU, ESPN3 and WatchESPN.com. Coverage begins Thursday, June 7 at 10 a.m. ET and continues on Friday, June 8 beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Holloway confirmed today that he will be in the first group to hit the court on Thursday for a one-hour session beginning at 10 a.m. ET (9 a.m. CT in Chicago).

The 2012 NBA Draft takes place June 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Taking a look back at his Xavier career, which included 100 wins in four seasons, the 6-0 point guard finished third on XU's all-time assist list with 550 assists and dished off 100 or more assists and led the team in assists for three straight seasons. He finished sixth on XU's all-time scoring list with 1,833 career points. His career free-throw percentage of 85.2 percent set a new school record.

Holloway earned a spot on the CollegeInsider.com All-America Team for the second straight year as a senior and earned honorable mention All-America honors from selected other national outlets after guiding Xavier to a third NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in his four years at XU. Holloway, who was named First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference for a second straight year, was a consensus 2011 Third Team All-American as a junior.

Holloway led the team in scoring as a senior at 17.5 ppg. (second in the A-10) and assists at 4.9 apg. (fourth in the A-10). Holloway averaged 22.7 points for Xavier's three games in the NCAA Tournament, which was ranked fourth in the 2012 NCAA Tournament and first in the tournament among players who won at least one game in the tourney. He also led the team in steals (eighth in the A-10 at 1.5 spg.) and free throw percentage (second in the A-10 at .862) for the season.
