XU Commit Ridder Helps Spark MOKAN in Peach Jam Finals

Xavier commit Jared Ridder sparked a key run early for MOKAN Elite in the Peach Jam finals on Sunday afternoon.

After struggling with his shot on limited attempts and not making a huge impact throughout the week at the Nike Peach Jam, 6-foot-7 Xavier commit Jared Ridder saved his best performance for the biggest stage.

Ridder posted eight points on 3-of-5 shooting as his MOKAN Elite team beat PSA Cardinals 93-65 while playing on ESPNU in the Peach Jam championship.

Ridder started hot and scored all of his points in the first half. His first touch of the game was an elbow jumper. He followed that up with back-to-back threes from the left wing to push MOKAN's lead from seven to 13. His team ran away to a 28-point win from there.

In the second half, he showed his passing ability with a pair of assists.

In addition to Ridder, Xavier targets Quade Green and Brandon Randolph also played in the game for PSA Cardinals. Randolph had a big second half despite his team falling way behind. He kept competing even though his outside shot wasn't falling and finished with 19 points (6-15 FG, 1-8 3PT, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds. Green had nine points (3-11 FG, 0-5 3PT, 3-3 FT) and six assists.
