SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Responsibilities

  • Manage and create content for a Scout college/pro team site social account
  • Brainstorm social media campaigns 
  • Use social network analytics to inform programming

Qualifications

  • Up-to-date on latest trends and techniques for Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and others 
  • Understands sports and fan culture
  • Skilled at creating viral content and writing creatively on deadline
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about your favorite sports team
  • Understand fan culture in college and pro sports

VIDEO INTERN

Responsibilities

  • Qualified interns will contribute on- and/or off-camera for Scout's video programming
  • Hands-on editing, script writing and voice-over 
  • Assist in all facets of video production, from brainstorming to analytics

Qualifications

  • Experience with editing software 
  • Broadcasting experience (on-camera, voice-over, editing and/or production)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Understands sports and fan culture
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about your favorite sports team
  • Understand fan culture in college and pro sports

EDITORIAL INTERN

Responsibilities

  • Write/report news, feature and opinion articles covering a specific sports team
  • Use site analytics to inform editorial decision-making
  • Brainstorming and writing stories for Scout's national and team-specific sites

Qualifications

  • Strong, deadline writing and copy editing skills 
  • Experience with content creation in a CMS 
  • Ability to research photos and working knowledge of photo editing software
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about your favorite sports team
  • Understand fan culture in college and pro sports
  • Up-to-date on audience-driving techniques for Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and others
