Tyler Shatley JAC OG
Jaguars' Tyler Shatley: Staying in Jacksonville
7h agoThe Jaguars re-signed Shatley on Friday.
Not all of the details of the deal are known at this point, but Shatley is now poised to spend at least next season in Jacksonville - his 11th straight year with the team. The Jaguars will likely seek to add talent at offensive line during the upcoming draft, but Shatley figures to at least provide veteran depth to the interior of the offensive line in 2024.

Andrew Ogletree IND TE
Colts' Drew Ogletree: Back with team
10h agoGM Chris Ballard noted Friday that Ogletree is off the NFL's Commissioner Exempt List, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
Per the report, Ogletree -- whose charges stemming from his arrest in December were dismissed last month -- is back with the Colts during offseason workouts. Prior to being placed on the Commissioner Exempt List on Dec. 30, Ogletree caught nine of his 21 targets for 147 yards and two TDs in 12 regular-season games with Indianapolis.

J.K. Dobbins LAC RB
Chargers' J.K. Dobbins: Should be ready for training camp
11h agoDobbins (Achilles), who agreed to terms with the Chargers on Thursday, "should be" ready for training camp according to GM Joe Hortiz, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network relayed last month that Dobbins -- who suffered a torn Achilles in Baltimore's regular-season opener in 2023 -- has been cleared for football activities, with previous reports having noted that the running back had resumed running this offseason. Based on the assessment of Hortiz on Thursday, Dobbins is still working his way back from his injury, but if the 2020 second-rounder is able to return to form, he and Gus Edwards (who also came over from the Ravens in free agency) have a chance to provide an effective 1-2 punch in the Chargers' backfield in 2024 under the guidance of offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who both players worked with in Baltimore.

Kerby Joseph DET DB
Lions' Kerby Joseph: Should be 100 percent for camp
12h agoJoseph (hip) -- who won't take part in practices this spring -- expects to be fully healthy by the start of training camp, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Joseph underwent an offseason procedure to address a hip injury that originally occurred in Week 2 of the 2023 campaign. Though he returned to play after missing two contests, en route to logging 82 tackles and four picks in 15 regular-season outings overall, the issue evidently lingered to the point that it required attention following the postseason. Once he's back to 100 percent, Joseph will reprise his starting free safety role with the Lions.

D.J. Chark CAR WR
DJ Chark: Visits with Chargers
13h agoChark visited the Chargers on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Few teams are more in need of wide receivers, with the Chargers having released Mike Williams and traded Keenan Allen earlier this offseason. Chark has never come close to matching his 1,008-yard, eight-TD performance in 2019 for Jacksonville, but he did top 500 yards both of the past two seasons in Detroit and Carolina, starting 21 of 26 games along the way. Chark will turn 28 in September and doesn't figure to command a large contract.

Courtland Sutton DEN WR
Broncos' Courtland Sutton: No concern about OTA absence
14h agoBroncos GM George Paton suggested Thursday that he isn't worried about Sutton's absence from voluntary offseason workouts, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. "It's 100 percent voluntary," Paton said. "It's the first week of the offseason program. I've talked to Courtland. He's in a good place, and I'll just leave it at that."
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Tuesday that Sutton's absence from voluntary OTAs is related to wanting a new contract. The wideout has two years and approximately $27.6 million remaining on his current deal, with only $2 million of that guaranteed. It's not the type of situation with especially high risk for a holdout, and Sutton looks to be especially important for Denver's offense after the team traded WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in the offseason. It's not yet clear who will start across from Sutton at wide receiver, nor is it clear who will get the nod under center Week 1. The Broncos still have a lot to work out this spring and summer, with the upcoming NFL Draft presumably being a piece of that puzzle.

Alec Bohm PHI 3B
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Two homers, six RBI in win
10m agoBohm went 2-for-4 with a pair of three-run homers in Friday's 7-0 victory over the White Sox.
Bohm drove in six of the Phillies' seven runs Friday, launching three-run homers off Garrett Crochet in the first and third innings. It was quite a performance from the 27-year-old Bohm, who came into the day with just one homer on the year while going 3-for-17 in his previous six contests. Bohm's now slashing .258/.364/.470 through 77 plate appearances this season with 17 RBI, seven runs scored and a stolen base.

Jason Foley DET RP
Tigers' Jason Foley: Notches save Friday
10m agoFoley issued a walk and struck out one batter in a scoreless inning Friday. He earned a save in the win over Minnesota.
Foley worked around a two-out walk to finish off the 5-4 win Friday. He's now converted all six of his save chances and is riding a 10-inning scoreless streak to open the 2024 campaign. The 28-year-old has produced a 10:6 K:BB during that span. However, four of those walks have come over his last 2.2 frames.
-
Garrett Crochet CHW SP
White Sox's Garrett Crochet: Struggles in Philly
27m agoCrochet (1-3) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing seven runs on five hits and two walks across three innings. He struck out three.
Crochet was done in by the home-run ball Friday -- he allowed a pair of three-run homers to Alec Bohm before Whit Merrifield led off the fourth with a solo shot, forcing Crochet out of the game. After an excellent start this year, the 24-year-old lefthander has now allowed 12 runs over 7.2 innings in his last two outings. Crochet's ERA is up to 5.61 despite an excellent 1.01 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB across five starts (25.2 innings). He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Minnesota.

Francisco Alvarez NYM C
Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Exits with injured thumb
32m agoAlvarez was removed from Friday's game against the Dodgers due to a left thumb injury, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez stumbled while rounding first base during the top of the second inning and appeared to jam his left thumb while trying to regain his footing. He remained in the game to run the bases and eventually came around to score, but he was replaced behind the dish by Omar Narvaez once the Mets' defense took the field. The 22-year-old backstop will presumably undergo imaging, and the team should offer an update on his status in the near future.
-
Spencer Turnbull PHI SP
Phillies' Spencer Turnbull: Stellar vs. White Sox
39m agoTurnbull (2-0) earned the win Friday against the White Sox, allowing one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.
Turnbull held Chicago without a hit through six innings, eventually allowing a lone one-out single to Gavin Sheets in the seventh en route to a 7-0 Phillies victory. Turnbull has been a revelation in Philadelphia so far this season, holding opponents scoreless in three of his first four starts. The 31-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 1.23 with a 0.77 WHIP and 22:7 K:BB across 22 innings. Turnbull is currently on track for a road matchup with the Reds in his next outing.
-
Peter Lambert COL RP
Rockies' Peter Lambert: Moves into rotation
1h agoThe Rockies announced Friday that Lambert will enter the starting rotation while Kyle Freeland (elbow) is on the injured list, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
Lambert failed to make the Rockies' rotation out of spring training, but Freeland's injury will give the 27-year-old righty another opportunity. Lambert has appeared in six games this year, surrendering three earned runs across 11.2 innings while striking out 10 batters and walking six. He's in line to make his first start in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader versus Seattle.

Keegan Murray SAC PF
Kings' Keegan Murray: Cleared to return
10m agoMurray (hip) has returned to Friday's Play-In Game against New Orleans, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Murray went to the locker room at the end of the first half with left hip soreness, but he's been cleared to return. He'll be asked to play a big role down the stretch with the Kings facing a nine-point deficit to begin the third quarter.
-
Keegan Murray SAC PF
Kings' Keegan Murray: Heads to locker room
29m agoMurray went to the locker room after suffering a left hip injury during the second quarter of Friday's Play-In Game against the Pelicans, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Murray appeared to slip on a wet spot on the court, and he was reportedly favoring his hip on the way to the locker room, per Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento. Trey Lyles and Colby Jones would likely be asked to step up if Murray can't return.

Nikola Vucevic CHI C
Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Leads team with 14 boards
43m agoVucevic notched 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 14 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat.
Vucevic turned in a valiant effort in Friday's elimination game, but the Heat cruised to a big victory with the help of Tyler Herro and Jamie Jaquez. Vucevic was held in check offensively along with the rest of the Chicago squad, as the Bulls were held to 91 points on 38.0 percent shooting from the field. The 33-year-old closed the season with four consecutive double-doubles.
-
Javonte Green CHI SG
Bulls' Javonte Green: Adds 12 points off bench
1h agoGreen closed Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat with 12 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 17 minutes.
Green led Chicago's bench with 12 points, but his effort wasn't enough to help his team advance to the opening round of the postseason. He finished the 2023-24 campaign on a high note by putting up 10 or more points in seven of eight appearances over his final month of action.
-
DeMar DeRozan CHI SF
Bulls' DeMar DeRozan: Solid showing in season-ending loss
1h agoDeRozan ended Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat with 22 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes.
DeRozan did his part as his squad looked to advance to the opening round of the postseason, knocking down 50.0 percent of his tries from the field while contributing on the defensive end. He went on an impressive run to end the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 29.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals over his last six appearances.
-
Bam Adebayo MIA C
Heat's Bam Adebayo: Slow yet efficient night
1h agoAdebayo finished Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game win over the Bulls with 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 32 minutes.
Adebayo didn't have the type of performance one would expect in a big-time game, but he was calculated in his chances and enjoyed the show as Tyler Herro led the Heat to victory with a massive showing. Friday marked Adebayo's lowest rebounding total since April 10, so he'll need to get back on track on the glass during Miami's upcoming series against Boston to have a chance.

-
Kyle Connor WPG LW
Jets' Kyle Connor: Set to play Sunday
1h agoConnor (rest) will suit up for Game 1 against the Avalanche on Sunday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
As expected, Connor missed Thursday's game against the Canucks as a rest day rather than an injury. He racked up 12 points over his final eight games of the year, giving him 61 across 65 contests. The 27-year-old will be in his usual top-line role Sunday.
-
Mark Scheifele WPG C
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Ready for postseason
1h agoScheifele (rest) will be available for Game 1 against Colorado on Sunday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
Scheifele missed Thursday's season finale due to rest rather than injury. The star center tallied 25 goals and 72 points through 74 games during the regular season. He's hit the 70-point mark five times in his NHL career, including four of the last five full seasons.
-
Jakub Skarek NYI G
Islanders' Jakub Skarek: Promoted from AHL
1h agoSkarek was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Friday, per CapFriendly.
Skarek posted a lackluster 3.23 GAA and .888 save percentage in 36 AHL contests. The 24-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut.
-
Carl Grundstrom LA RW
Kings' Carl Grundstrom: Returning from conditioning stint
7h agoGrundstrom (lower body) will return from his conditioning loan with AHL Ontario and practice with LA on Saturday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
Grundstrom has recorded a goal and an assist in two appearances with Ontario during his conditioning stint. It was his first action since Feb. 13. Grundstrom provided eight goals, 12 points and 115 hits in 50 regular-season contests with LA in 2023-24. If he's available for Game 1 against Edmonton on Monday, then the 26-year-old might serve on the fourth line.
