Dont'e Thornton Jr. LV WR
Raiders' Dont'e Thornton: Working with starters
5h agoThornton was working with the Raiders' starters during Monday's mandatory minicamp practice, Jonathan Williams of Sports Illustrated reports.
Thornton was selected in the fourth round of this year's draft after catching 26 passes for 661 yards and six touchdowns during his final year at Tennessee, and he already appears to be carving out a role for himself in Las Vegas' offense. As the team currently lacks proven talent at the position behind Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker, Thornton could end up serving as one of the team's top wideouts early on in his rookie season.

Ja'seem Reed CLE WR
Ja'Seem Reed: Waived by Cleveland
6h agoThe Browns waived Reed (undisclosed) from injured reserve with a settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Reed joined the team as an undrafted free agent in May but landed on injured reserve just several days later after picking up an undisclosed injury. The 6-foot-1 receiver hauled in 155 passes for 2,103 yards and 16 touchdowns across his four seasons at San Diego and will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.

Harrison Mevis CAR K
Jets' Harrison Mevis: Latches on with Jets
10h agoNew York signed Mevis to a contract Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Mevis spent time with Carolina in 2024 after going undrafted out of Missouri, but he wasn't able to stick on the Panthers' regular-season roster. He resurfaced with the Birmingham Stallions for the UFL's 2025 season, converting 20 of 21 field-goal attempts. Mevis now joins a kicker competition that also includes Caden Davis behind Anders Carlson, with the latter kicker being the favorite to start Week 1.

Ventrell Miller JAC LB
Jaguars' Ventrell Miller: Over ankle injury
10h agoMiller (ankle) has been an active participant at offseason practices and stood out at OTAs, Brian Sexton of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Miller missed the final two games of 2024 due to an ankle injury, but he already appears back to full health. Across 15 regular-season appearances in 2024, Miller racked up 80 tackles (53 solo), three pass breakups and one fumble, though his role declined notably after Jacksonville's bye in Week 12. He now faces competition from rookie fourth-round pick Jack Kiser for reps alongside standout linebackers Foyesade Oluokun and Devin Lloyd.
-
Jase McClellan ATL RB
Jase McClellan: Let go by Atlanta
10h agoThe Falcons waived McClellan (knee) on Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
McClellan managed just two regular-season appearances a rookie in 2024, in which span he rushed 13 times for 32 yards. While the 2024 sixth-round pick appears recovered from the knee injury that forced him to finish his rookie campaign on IR, he'll now have to search elsewhere for a chance to compete for a depth role. Jashaun Corbin takes McClellan's spot on the Falcons roster.

Jared Wiley KC TE
Chiefs' Jared Wiley: Working with knee brace
14h agoWiley (ACL) is participating in positional drills at mandatory minicamp Tuesday with a brace on his right knee, Sports Radio 810 WHB reports.
Head coach Andy Reid said in April that Wiley, who tore his ACL during practice early last November, is doing well in his recovery. It's encouraging that he's already been cleared to take part in individual drills, but the 2024 fourth-round pick may still not be fully cleared for training camp or Week 1. Noah Gray remains positioned as the No. 2 tight end behind Travis Kelce for Kansas City, so once fully recovered Wiley will likely find himself competing with Robert Tonyan for the No. 3 gig.
-
Luis Arraez SD 1B
Padres' Luis Arraez: Racks up three hits in loss
14m agoArraez went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Dodgers.
Arraez is 10-for-31 (.323) over his last seven games, a span that has seen him rack up three doubles, three RBI and five runs scored. The infielder is up to a .280/.312/.396 slash line with three homers, 27 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles and three triples over 66 contests. Arraez continues to provide steady contact thanks to a tiny 1.7 percent strikeout rate -- he hasn't struck out since May 25 versus Atlanta.
-
Trenton Brooks SD DH
Padres' Trenton Brooks: Pops homer in loss
18m agoBrooks hit a two-run home run in his lone at-bat in Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Dodgers.
Brooks struck out twice Monday after making the start at designated hitter. He was a pinch hitter Tuesday and delivered a blast in the seventh inning, but he didn't stay in the game. Brooks provides another left-handed bench bat, but it's unlikely he'll regularly bump Gavin Sheets or Luis Arraez out of the lineup at first base or in left field, and the Padres can rotate a number of other players in at DH. Brooks will likely see indirect competition for playing time from Tyler Wade and Jose Iglesias while he is on the major-league roster.
-
Randy Vasquez SD SP
Padres' Randy Vasquez: Tagged for two homers
24m agoVasquez allowed three runs on four hits and struck out two without walking a batter over five innings in a no-decision Tuesday versus the Dodgers.
Vasquez completed five frames for the first time in four starts in June. Despite his struggles with pitching deep into games, he's allowed a modest eight runs over 17.2 innings this month, though he's also been tagged for five home runs in that span after Andy Pages took him deep twice Tuesday. Overall, Vasquez has a 3.70 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 43:35 K:BB across 73 innings through 15 starts. Walks have been less of a problem lately -- he's issued one walk or less in six of his last eight outings. Vasquez will look to continue that trend in his next start, tentatively projected to be at home this weekend versus the Royals.
-
Ben Brown CHC SP
Cubs' Ben Brown: Holds Brewers in check in win
25m agoBrown (4-5) recorded the win Tuesday against the Brewers, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out five.
The long ball remained an issue for Brown, who gave up at least one home run in his third consecutive start, but he was able to limit the damage despite surrendering four extra-base hits. It was the third time in the 25-year-old right-hander's last three starts that he threw at least five innings while allowing two runs or fewer, which has helped improve his ERA to 5.57 to go with a 1.48 WHIP and 88:25 K:BB across 74.1 innings for the season. Brown has still conceded at least five runs on five occasions in 2025, so he'll likely remain a volatile fantasy option this weekend in a challenging test versus the Mariners.
-
Chad Patrick MIL SP
Brewers' Chad Patrick: Stumbles once again in loss
29m agoPatrick (3-7) was saddled with the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out five.
While Patrick was able to toss at least five frames in his fourth start in a row, he's now allowed nine runs over his past two outings. The right-hander has watched his ERA climb from 2.84 on June 6 to 3.50 following this showing, but Patrick did fan at least five Tuesday in his sixth straight appearance. The rookie righty still has a steady 1.28 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB over 79.2 innings in 2025, and he'll aim to get back on track this weekend against the Twins.
-
Will Smith LAD C
Dodgers' Will Smith: Goes yard in three-hit game
30m agoSmith went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a second run scored in Tuesday's 8-6 win over the Padres.
Smith put the Dodgers ahead 5-3 with his sixth-inning blast. The catcher has logged five multi-hit efforts and six extra-base hits over his last nine games, going 13-for-36 (.361) in that span. Smith's .947 OPS ranks second among all qualified catchers in the majors this season, trailing only Cal Raleigh (.998). Smith is also batting .330 with seven homers, 40 RBI, 35 runs scored, 14 doubles, two stolen bases and one triple over 58 contests.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Will undergo MRI on calf injury
12h agoHaliburton is believed to have suffered a strained right calf during the NBA Finals and will undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the injury, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Haliburton has been dealing with a right calf issue throughout the NBA Finals, but he has been adamant about playing through the injury. However, the team is concerned about the injury, considering how calf strains can lead to more severe lower leg injuries. In the first five games of this series, Haliburton has averaged 15.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from deep.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Bounces back with solid total
1d agoNesmith amassed 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt), six rebounds and one steal across 25 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to the Thunder in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Nesmith's defensive mettle and rebounding ability have served the Pacers well, and his ability to contain Jalen Brunson in the Eastern Conference Finals remains his postseason highlight. While he's failed to break the double-digit scoring barrier over the past two games, he took advantage of a slow start by Obi Toppin and posted 14 points over 25 minutes.
-
T.J. McConnell IND PG
Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Supplies 18 points from bench
1d agoMcConnell racked up 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
McConnell turned in 13 points in the third quarter and kept the Pacers in the hunt alongside Obi Toppin's seven points in the stanza. McConnell's results faded after a solid Game 2 performance against the Thunder, but he bounced back in Game 5 by making plays all over the floor, finishing with postseason highs in points and minutes.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Dealing with lower leg issue
1d agoHaliburton provided four points (0-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and six assists across 34 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to the Thunder in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. He also appears to be dealing with a right lower leg issue, though he expects to play in Game 6 on Thursday, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports.
Haliburton shot 0-for-5 from the field in the first half, during which he briefly exited to the locker room for treatment on his lower leg. The star point guard dealt with a similar issue in Game 2 and was seen with a noticeable limp after Game 5. Haliburton and the Pacers will look to stave off elimination in Game 6 at home Thursday.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Posts team-high 28 points in loss
1d agoSiakam closed with 28 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals across 33 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Siakam had a respectable total heading into the fourth quarter, but he woke up with 12 points in the final stanza. He was the engine of an 11-3 rally that put the Pacers within striking distance. His teammates provided little support after the scoring barrage, as the Thunder responded with an 18-4 rally of their own to put the game out of reach. Siakam's 28 points marked his best scoring performance of the series.
-
Cason Wallace OKC PG
Thunder's Cason Wallace: Emerges with 11 points in win
1d agoWallace supplied 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and four steals over 17 minutes during Monday's 120-109 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Wallace notched his third double-digit scoring performance of the postseason in the decisive win. Wallace carved out a larger role with the Thunder during his second season, but his playoff contributions have been minimal. The Kentucky product managed his best total of the series despite logging a series-low 17 minutes on the court. Wallace also recorded a postseason-high four steals during the victory.

Leon Draisaitl EDM C
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Shut down in Game 6 loss
1h agoDraisaitl had four hits, two blocks and a minus-4 rating Tuesday in a 5-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 6.
He had no shots. Draisaitl and Connor McDavid were absolutely smothered by the tough checking Panthers. The two Oilers finished at the top of the postseason scoring list with 33 points, but that's small consolation when the Cup was handed to the Panthers instead of the Oilers for the second consecutive season.
-
Connor McDavid EDM C
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Smothered by kitties in Game 6 loss
1h agoMcDavid had two shots and finished minus-4 in a 5-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 6 on Tuesday in the Stanley Cup Finals.
The kitties smothered both McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on Tuesday, and the rest of the Oilers had no response. Still, he and Draisaitl led all players in scoring with 33 points this postseason. But that's irrelevant to him when the Cup was being hoisted for the second straight season by his opponent.
-
Vasily Podkolzin EDM RW
Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Gets team's only goal in loss
1h agoPodkolzin scored a goal in a 5-1 loss to Florida on Tuesday in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
It was a matter of too little, too late -- Podkolzin drove the net and finally solved Sergei Bobrovsky at 15:18 of the third. It was Edmonton's first and only goal. He finished with three goals and seven assists in 22 games this postseason.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Struggles continue in Cup loss
1h agoSkinner allowed three goals on 23 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 6 on Tuesday.
Two goals went into an empty net when the Oilers were trying to push for their first goal late in the third frame. Skinner has struggled to gain the faith of fans with a few too many beachball goals, and Tuesday was no different, especially with the first snipe. He finished the postseason with seven wins, a 2.99 GAA and .889 save percentage in 15 starts.
-
Aaron Ekblad FLA D
Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Assist in Cup wining game
1h agoEkblad delivered an assist in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Oilers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
He also delivered two blocks in 21:37 as the Panthers second-busiest defender. Ekblad had four goals, nine assists, 38 PIM, 36 shots and a plus-10 rating in 19 games this postseason. The oft-injured blueliner is an integral part of most fantasy teams, but he has struggled to stay on the ice over the last several seasons. Ekblad is a track-and-drop-down defender at drafts next fall. He delivers when he's on the ice, but there's no guarantee that he'll be out there helping you.
-
Anton Lundell FLA C
Panthers' Anton Lundell: Plucks apple in Cup victory
1h agoLundell put up an assist in a 5-1 Stanley Cup-clinching win over Edmonton in Game 6 on Tuesday.
Lundell's point extended his playoff scoring streak to five games and six points (one goal, five assists). He's a strong, reliable pivot who is a strong two-way presence despite below-average feet. Lundell finished the postseason with 18 points, including 12 assists, a team-leading plus-19 rating and 48 shots in 23 games.
