Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Taking part in OTAs
11h agoJohnston (knee) has been participating in Pittsburgh's OTAs, per WCCS radio.
Johnston signed a three-year contract with the Steelers in March of last year, but he hurt his right knee in Week 1 against Atlanta and ended up on IR for the remainder of the campaign. Now that he's back to health, Johnston is expected to retake his role as Pittsburgh's primary punter.

Raheem Layne NYG SAF
Giants' Raheem Layne: Active at OTAs
11h agoLayne (knee) has been participating in the Giants' OTAs, John Schmeelk of the team's official site reports.
Layne hurt his knee in Week 16 of last season and finished the campaign on IR. However, Schmeelk reports that the 25-year-old safety "made a couple good plays" during practice Friday, so it appears Layne is back to full health. He'll have a chance to compete for a depth role in the defensive backfield during training camp.
-
Evan Neal NYG OT
Giants' Evan Neal: Participating in OTAs
12h agoNeal (ribs/hip) took part in the Giants' OTAs on Friday, John Schmeelk of the team's official site reports.
Neal missed New York's final game last season due to injuries to his ribs and hip, but he appears to be back to full health. Per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, Neal is playing left guard during OTAs as he makes the switch from right tackle, and the 2022 first-round draft pick will attempt to win a starting role at his new position.
-
John Michael Schmitz NYG C
Giants' John Michael Schmitz: Healthy for OTAs
15h agoSchmitz (ankle) has been participating in Giants' OTAs this week, John Schmeelk of the team's official website reports.
After starting the first 15 games of the regular season in 2024, Schmitz missed Weeks 17 and 18 with the ankle injury. He's expected to again start at center for the Giants this upcoming season.
-
Tre Hawkins III NYG CB
Giants' Tre Hawkins: Participating in OTAs
15h agoHawkins (back) has been participating in Giants' OTAs this week, John Schmeelk of the team's official website reports.
Hawkins missed all but three regular-season games last season due to ankle and back issues. He didn't play after Week 14 but appears to be healthy headed into the 2025 offseason workout program. Hawkins was a 2023 sixth-round pick by the G-Men.

Rejzohn Wright NO CB
Saints' Rejzohn Wright: Back healthy
16h agoWright (undisclosed) has been participating in Saints' OTAs this week, Luke Johnson of NOLA.com reports.
The 24-year-old spent the 2024 season on the Saints' injured reserve list after being hurt during the preseason. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

James Wood WAS LF
Nationals' James Wood: Belts 16th homer
4m agoWood went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's win over the Diamondbacks.
The 22-year-old outfielder led off the third inning by crushing a Merrill Kelly cutter over the fence in left-center field, Wood's fourth homer in the last six games and his 16th of the season. He's hit safely in 11 of the last 12 contests, a stretch in which Wood is slashing .364/.463/.795 with 13 runs and 18 RBI as the engine of a suddenly potent Nats offense that is averaging 5.8 runs during that 12-game stretch.
-
Trevor Story BOS SS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Snaps homer drought
5m agoStory went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.
It's been a minute since Story went deep. Friday's homer snapped a 15-game drought and was just his second over the last 34. He was productive through the first three weeks of the season, but the expected impact of a healthy Story's bat hasn't played out overall. He's batting .219 with a .593 OPS and 23 RBI over 55 games.
-
Robert Hassell WAS CF
Nationals' Robert Hassell: Drives in three in Arizona
9m agoHassell went 2-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's win over the Diamondbacks.
The rookie outfielder opened the scoring with a two-RBI single in the top of the first inning, kicking off a wild 9-7 victory. Hassell has begun to find his rhythm against big-league pitching, racking up six hits -- including his first career homer -- and five RBI in the last three games, but an 0:9 BB:K over his first 32 plate appearances with the Nats remains a red flag for his fantasy appeal.
-
Abraham Toro BOS 1B
Red Sox's Abraham Toro: Stays hot in win
13m agoToro started at first base and went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.
First base has been chaotic since Triston Casas (knee) suffered a season-ending injury, but Toro seemingly has made a case for himself. He's gone 14-for-42 (.333) with three home runs, four doubles, five RBI and seven runs scored over the last 12 games. However, the Red Sox intend to experiment with Kristian Campbell at first base for at least one game during the weekend series in Atlanta.
-
Brad Lord WAS RP
Nationals' Brad Lord: Collects first career hold
14m agoLord recorded his first hold of the season in Friday's win over the Diamondbacks, giving up a hit and two walks while striking out three over two scoreless innings.
Entering the game in the seventh inning with the Nationals ahead 8-6, Lord threw 32 pitches (19 strikes) while providing a bridge to closer Kyle Finnegan. Lord's bounced between the rotation and a long-relief role this season, but Washington manager Dave Martinez appears to be willing to experiment with Lord as a high-leverage option, in a Nats bullpen that needs all the late-inning help it can get. The rookie right-hander has earned the audition with a 1.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB over his last six appearances and nine innings, an impressive turnaround after he got tagged for multiple earned runs in seven straight trips to the mound.
-
Josh Jung TEX 3B
Rangers' Josh Jung: Knocks in three
24m agoJung went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Friday's 11-1 win over the Cardinals.
Jung gave the Rangers an early lead with a run-scoring single in the first inning and then drove in another two runs during the team's four-run sixth inning. He joined the eruption by a team that entered the night averaging just 2.4 runs per game over the previous 13 contests. Jung has hit safely in 10 of the last 11, going 12-for-42 (.286) with five RBI, two steals and three runs scored during that stretch.

Tony Bradley IND C
Pacers' Tony Bradley: Iffy for Game 6
18h agoBradley (hip) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Game 6 against the Knicks.
Bradley suffered his hip injury in Game 5 and could be forced to sit out Saturday. If Bradley is unable to suit up for Game 6, Thomas Bryant could receive the backup center minutes behind Myles Turner.

Landry Shamet NY SG
Knicks' Landry Shamet: Limited role continues Thursday
1d agoShamet closed Thursday's 111-94 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 14 minutes.
Shamet continues to play limited minutes off the bench, having suited up for just 10 games thus far during the postseason. He is yet to see more than 15 minutes in any game, scoring a total of 14 points during that span. New York will now travel to Indiana for Game 6, which is another must-win game for the Knicks.
-
Mitchell Robinson NY C
Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Sticks in starting lineup
1d agoRobinson totaled six points (3-3 FG, 0-2 FT), six rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 20 minutes during Thursday's 111-94 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Robinson started for the third straight game, although once again failed to play more than 20 minutes. Despite the recent promotion, Robinson's numbers have remained largely underwhelming. In that three-game span, he has averaged 6.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. Thursday's victory ensures there will be a Game 6, scheduled for Saturday in Indiana.
-
Karl-Anthony Towns NY C
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Double-doubles despite injury
1d agoTowns closed Thursday's 111-94 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 36 minutes.
Despite playing through a knee injury, Towns delivered a noteworthy performance, recording his third straight double-double and his fifth in the past six games. While it has been a solid series for Towns, his lack of defensive contributions can't be ignored. He has now failed to record a single steal or block in four consecutive games. The Knicks will look to carry this momentum into Game 6, where a victory would then force a deciding game back in New York.
-
Johnny Furphy IND SG
Pacers' Johnny Furphy: Rare sighting Thursday
1d agoFurphy ended Thursday's 111-94 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with one rebound in one minute.
Furphy made a rare appearance, taking to the court for the first time in the past six games. With Indiana no match for New York, the coaching staff shifted into safety mode, allowing the fringe players some much-needed playing time. Despite the loss, the Pacers still lead the Eastern Conference Finals 3-2 with Game 6 tabled for Saturday in Indiana.
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Rough night Thursday
1d agoTurner notched five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 24 minutes during Thursday's 111-94 loss to New York in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Despite blocking three shots for the second consecutive game, Turner was far from impressive, cobbling together his worst performance of the postseason. After having scored double digits in 11 straight games, Turner was limited to just five points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field. Indiana was never really in the fight in this one, with its starting five basically non-existent. Turner will look to turn things around Saturday in Indiana, where the Pacers will try to wrap up the series and avoid a Game 7.

Josh Mahura SEA D
Kraken's Josh Mahura: Staying in Seattle
16h agoMahura signed a two-year, $1.815 million contract extension with the Kraken on Friday.
Mahura drew into 64 games in 2024-25, earning nine assists, 58 shots on net, 89 hits, 54 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating. The 27-year-old defenseman will be in contention for a bottom-four role throughout 2025-26, but his limited scoring potential -- his career high is 16 points in 2022-23 -- gives him minimal fantasy value.
-
Andrew Poturalski SJ C
Andrew Poturalski: Released from contract
21h agoPoturalski was released from his contract Friday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Poturalski asked the Sharks to release him so he could play outside North America next season. The 31-year-old Buffalo native played three regular-season games with San Jose this season, picking up one assist.
-
Helge Grans PHI D
Flyers' Helge Grans: Inks two-year contract
21h agoGrans signed a two-year, $1.575 million contract with the Flyers on Friday.
Grans had eight goals, 23 points and 42 PIM in 68 regular-season outings with AHL Lehigh Valley in 2024-25. He also registered an assist across six appearances with the Flyers. The 23-year-old will fight for an NHL roster spot out of training camp, but he might begin the 2025-26 campaign in the minors. That said, his new contract begins as a two-way deal but becomes a one-way contract for 2026-27, which speaks to the Flyers' outlook for the blueliner.
-
Adam Boqvist NYI D
Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Extending Island stay
22h agoBoqvist signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Islanders, the team announced Friday.
Boqvist has bounced between four teams across his six-year NHL career, but has earned himself an additional season with the Islanders. A midseason waiver claim from Florida, the 24-year-old posted two goals and six assists in 17 games after arriving on Long Island and was a fixture on the team's second power-play unit.
-
Seth Jarvis CAR C
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Rehabbing shoulder in offseason
22h agoJarvis played with a shoulder injury during most of the season, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports Friday.
Jarvis rehabbed his shoulder last offseason and will do the same this summer, but he will not require surgery. Jarvis had 32 goals and 35 assists over 73 regular-season games. He was outstanding during the playoffs with six goals and 10 assists in 15 games, tied for eighth in NHL scoring.
-

The 34-year-old had 24 goals and 24 assists across 82 regular-season games. Palmieri played top-line minutes as well as averaging 2:21 on the first power play, scoring five times and adding four assists.
