Trevin Wallace CAR LB
Panthers' Trevin Wallace: Returns to field
9h agoWallace (shoulder) is participating in OTAs, Jeff Hawkins of the Charlotte Post reports.
Wallace suffered a shoulder injury in mid-December and required surgery to resolve the issue. He spent a significant portion of his rookie season as a starter, but he'll have to compete for that role in 2025 after the Panthers added Christian Rozeboom this offseason.
-
Travis Clayton BUF OT
Bills' Travis Clayton: Recovered from shoulder inury
9h agoClayton (shoulder) is participating in OTAs, per the Buffalo Bills' official site.
Clayton landed on injured reserve at the close of training camp in 2024 and missed the rest of the season. While he's back on the field, he's likely a long shot to crack the Bills' 2025 roster.
-
JD Bertrand ATL LB
Falcons' JD Bertrand: On the field for OTAs
9h agoBertrand (eye) is participating in OTAs, Daniel Flick of SI.com reports.
Bertrand closed his rookie season on the sidelines with an eye injury, though the issue is now behind him. He could be in line for a key reserve role in the middle of Atlanta's defense while also serving on special teams in 2025.

Jalyn Armour-Davis BAL CB
Ravens' Jalyn Armour-Davis: Back in action
9h agoArmour-Davis (hamstring) has been able to participate in OTAs, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Deal made official
10h agoRodgers signed a one-year deal with the Steelers on Thursday.
News broke earlier in the day that Rodgers had informed the Steelers of his intention to sign with the team and report for mandatory minicamp next week. However, the deal is now official, and he'll ascend to the top of a previously uninspiring quarterback depth chart in Pittsburgh. Though Rodgers is well past his prime both in on-field and fantasy contributions, his arrival should be good news for the likes of DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth.
-
Quincy Riley NO CB
Saints' Quincy Riley: Participating in OTAs
11h agoRiley (undisclosed) is participating in OTAs.
The cornerback and fourth-round pick in the 2025 draft missed a rookie minicamp session in May because he was recovering from offseason surgery. Saints coach Kellen Moore did not reveal the specific injury, though he did say it was unrelated to the ankle issue from Riley's college career at Louisville. The rookie might have a chance to compete with Ugo Amadi for New Orleans' slot corner role in 2025.

Brandon Barriera TOR RP
Blue Jays' Brandon Barriera: Ready for rehab assignment
8m agoBarriera (elbow) has been sent to the rookie-level Florida Complex League Blue Jays to begin a rehab assignment, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Barriera is finally ready to pitch in games again after undergoing a hybrid Tommy John/internal brace procedure on his left elbow last April. The 2022 first-round pick has thrown only 21.2 innings in pro ball due to arm problems and is likely to eventually be assigned to Single-A Dunedin as he looks to re-establish himself.

Jose Ramirez CLE 3B
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Extends on-base streak
10m agoRamirez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Yankees.
Ramirez had two of the three Cleveland hits and stole his 17th base of the season, which ranks tied for eighth in MLB. The multi-hit effort was the fourth in the last five games for Rodriguez, who also extended an on-base streak to 31 contests. The third baseman is slashing .393/.448/.639 with 11 walks, 17 extra-base hits (six home runs), 15 RBI, 12 steals and 26 runs during the streak.

13m agoManoah (elbow) will face live hitters Tuesday for the first time since a hybrid internal brace procedure last June, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Manoah remains on track in his rehab, as he's nearly ready to face hitters after weeks of bullpen sessions. The right-hander is expected to begin a rehab assignment in July and rejoin the Blue Jays by August if all goes well.
-
Shane Bieber CLE SP
Guardians' Shane Bieber: Scratched from rehab start
29m agoBieber (elbow) was scratched from Friday's scheduled rehab start for Double-A Akron due to soreness, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Bieber experienced soreness after throwing a bullpen session with the RubberDucks on Tuesday. He met with team doctors, and it was decided that the right-hander will consult the physician who performed the Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last year to figure out the next steps. The Guardians anticipate more information and clarity on what's next for Bieber this weekend. He made one rehab start for the ACL Guardians last Saturday, and this setback puts a pause on his rehab assignment.

Isaiah Hartenstein OKC C
Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Shifts to bench in loss
3h agoHartenstein chipped in nine points (3-5 FG, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 loss to the Pacers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Hartenstein moved to the bench, presumably as a result of what is a smaller Indiana lineup. The Pacers rotation has the ability to switch out on defense, meaning the benefits of running out a two-big lineup for the Thunder are somewhat negated. Despite the loss, the decision appeared to be a positive one up until the final second of the game. Now trailing 1-0, Oklahoma City will look to bounce back Sunday before the series shifts to Indiana.
-
Cason Wallace OKC PG
Thunder's Cason Wallace: Modest effort in spot start
3h agoWallace posted six points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 loss to the Pacers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Wallace moved into the starting lineup for Game 1, replacing Isaiah Hartenstein who moved to the bench. This move was based purely on the matchup, with the coaching staff opting to go small to counter the Pacers' interchangeable lineup. Despite the promotion, Wallace wasn't particularly impactful on the stat sheet. It remains to be seen whether he will remain in the starting lineup for Game 2 on Sunday.
-
Chet Holmgren OKC C
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Quiet in Game 1 loss
3h agoHolmgren ended Thursday's 111-110 loss to the Pacers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals with six points (2-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one block across 24 minutes.
Holmgren was barely noticeable Thursday, putting up easily his worst performance of the postseason. Prior to the Game 1 loss, Holmgren had scored double digits in nine straight games, while also contributing above-average defensive numbers. Thursday's loss sees the Thunder now facing what could be considered a must-win game Sunday, when Holmgren will look to get back on track, as will the Thunder.
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Blocks three shots Thursday
3h agoTurner contributed 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and three blocks over 28 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Despite both teams opting to play small at times, Turner still managed to have a tangible impact on the game, blocking three shots for the third time in the past four games. Turner has been relatively consistent throughout the playoffs, providing the Pacers with a reliable defensive anchor. Now leading the NBA Finals 1-0, Indiana will look to consolidate its lead when the two teams meet again Sunday.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Double-doubles in Game 1 win
3h agoNesmith provided 10 points (3-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block over 31 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 victory over the Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Nesmith played his role to perfection, recording his third double-double of the postseason. Although his contributions don't always translate well, Nesmith's impact on the defensive end of the floor has been invaluable for the Pacers. Despite trailing by as much as 15 points during the final quarter, Indiana once again defied the odds, stealing Game 1 on the road. The two teams will meet again Sunday, when the Pacers will look to take a 2-0 series advantage.
-
Obi Toppin IND PF
Pacers' Obi Toppin: Key contributions Thursday
3h agoToppin chipped in 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-8 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 win over the Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Toppin continues to play a key role for the Pacers despite logging somewhat limited minutes. With that said, he has now played at least 25 minutes in back-to-back games, scoring 18 and 17 points respectively. Both teams opted to go small down the stretch, affording Toppin an opportunity to play as a makeshift center. Thursday's win sees Indiana take a 1-0 lead with Game 2 scheduled for Sunday in Oklahoma City.

Gustav Lindstrom MON D
Canadiens' Gustav Lindstrom: Heading back to Sweden
13h agoLindstrom signed a five-year contract with Djurgardens IF of the SHL on Thursday, per RDS.ca.
Lindstrom didn't make any appearances in the NHL in 2024-25, earning 11 points in 42 games with AHL Laval instead. The long-term nature of this contract suggests the 26-year-old defenseman is done pursuing playing opportunities in North America and will ply his trade in his native country for the rest of his career.
-
Jere Innala COL LW
Avalanche's Jere Innala: Headed back to Sweden
23h agoInnala signed a contract with Frolunda HC of the SHL on Thursday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.
Innala played 17 regular-season games with the Avalanche this season and failed to garner a point. The 27-year-old played only one season in North America after crossing the pond after the 2023-24 campaign, signing a one-year contract with Colorado. Innala managed 17 goals and 11 assists across 43 AHL contests with the Eagles.

1d agoRodrigues logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, three hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Rodrigues helped out on a Brad Marchand go-ahead goal in the first period. With a goal and eight assists over his last seven outings, Rodrigues continues to play a key playmaking role for the Panthers. He's at one goal, 11 helpers, 26 shots on net, 31 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 16 playoff outings. He began the postseason in the bottom six but has since taken on a top-line role.

1d agoTkachuk notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The 27-year-old Tkachuk has picked up the pace lately, earning two goals and six assists over six games since the start of the Eastern Conference Finals. Panthers' Nate Schmidt: Dishes pair of helpers
1d agoSchmidt logged two assists, including one on the power play, and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Schmidt snapped a seven-game point drought with this performance, which was his first contribution on offense since a two-assist effort in Game 5 of the second round versus Toronto. The defenseman has maintained a spot on the Panthers' third pairing throughout the postseason. He's up to three goals, six helpers, 19 shots on net, 28 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 18 appearances.
-
