2d agoShamet closed Thursday's 111-94 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 14 minutes.
Shamet continues to play limited minutes off the bench, having suited up for just 10 games thus far during the postseason. In that three-game span, he has averaged 6.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. Thursday's victory ensures there will be a Game 6, scheduled for Saturday in Indiana.

Karl-Anthony Towns NY C
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Double-doubles despite injury
2d agoTowns closed Thursday's 111-94 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 36 minutes.
Despite playing through a knee injury, Towns delivered a noteworthy performance, recording his third straight double-double and his fifth in the past six games. While it has been a solid series for Towns, his lack of defensive contributions can't be ignored. He has now failed to record a single steal or block in four consecutive games. The Knicks will look to carry this momentum into Game 6, where a victory would then force a deciding game back in New York.

The 28-year-old has two goals and an assist in 12 playoff appearances after tallying six goals and 17 points in 81 outings during the regular season.
