Cameron Johnston PIT P
Steelers' Cameron Johnston: Taking part in OTAs
1d agoJohnston (knee) has been participating in Pittsburgh's OTAs, per WCCS radio.
Johnston signed a three-year contract with the Steelers in March of last year, but he hurt his right knee in Week 1 against Atlanta and ended up on IR for the remainder of the campaign. Now that he's back to health, Johnston is expected to retake his role as Pittsburgh's primary punter.

Raheem Layne NYG SAF
Giants' Raheem Layne: Active at OTAs
1d agoLayne (knee) has been participating in the Giants' OTAs, John Schmeelk of the team's official site reports.
Layne hurt his knee in Week 16 of last season and finished the campaign on IR. However, Schmeelk reports that the 25-year-old safety "made a couple good plays" during practice Friday, so it appears Layne is back to full health. He'll have a chance to compete for a depth role in the defensive backfield during training camp.
-
Evan Neal NYG OT
Giants' Evan Neal: Participating in OTAs
1d agoNeal (ribs/hip) took part in the Giants' OTAs on Friday, John Schmeelk of the team's official site reports.
Neal missed New York's final game last season due to injuries to his ribs and hip, but he appears to be back to full health. Per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, Neal is playing left guard during OTAs as he makes the switch from right tackle, and the 2022 first-round draft pick will attempt to win a starting role at his new position.
-
John Michael Schmitz NYG C
Giants' John Michael Schmitz: Healthy for OTAs
2d agoSchmitz (ankle) has been participating in the Giants' OTAs this week, John Schmeelk of the team's official website reports.
After starting the first 15 games of the regular season in 2024, Schmitz missed Weeks 17 and 18 with the ankle injury. He's expected to again start at center for the Giants this upcoming season.
-
Tre Hawkins III NYG CB
Giants' Tre Hawkins: Participating in OTAs
2d agoHawkins (back) has been participating in the Giants' OTAs this week, John Schmeelk of the team's official website reports.
Hawkins missed all but three regular-season games last season due to ankle and back issues. He didn't play after Week 14 but appears to be healthy headed into the 2025 offseason workout program. Hawkins was a 2023 sixth-round pick by the G-Men.
-
Rejzohn Wright NO CB
Saints' Rejzohn Wright: Back healthy
2d agoWright (undisclosed) has been participating in the Saints' OTAs this week, Luke Johnson of NOLA.com reports.
The 24-year-old spent the 2024 season on the Saints' injured-reserve list after being hurt during the preseason. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

Randal Grichuk ARI DH
Diamondbacks' Randal Grichuk: Strong effort in Saturday's loss
6h agoGrichuk went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 11-7 loss to the Nationals.
Grichuk was in the lineup versus a right-handed pitcher for just the second time this season, getting the start in left field. His homer also came off a righty, as he took reliever Jackson Rutledge deep in the sixth inning. Grichuk is up to three homers this season, two of which have come over his last five games. He's batting .275 with 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 86 plate appearances on the year, mainly in a short-side platoon role between the corner outfield and designated hitter.
-
Josh Naylor ARI 1B
Diamondbacks' Josh Naylor: Goes yard Saturday
6h agoNaylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a second run scored in Saturday's 11-7 loss to the Nationals.
Naylor has hit safely in nine straight games, and this was his fourth consecutive multi-hit effort. During the hitting streak, he has gone 13-for-37 (.351) with five extra-base hits and eight RBI. The strong stretch has Naylor back up to batting .301 with an .827 OPS, seven homers, 37 RBI, 30 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases across 57 contests this season.
-
Brandon Pfaadt ARI SP
Diamondbacks' Brandon Pfaadt: Embarrassed in Saturday's loss
6h agoPfaadt (7-4) failed to record an out while taking the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, allowing eight runs on six hits and two hit batsmen.
Four of the six hits were doubles, which allowed the Nationals to keep the line moving during Pfaadt's brief outing. Scott McGough was unable to stop the bleeding immediately, and the Diamondbacks were down 10-0 before sending a batter to the plate themselves. The silver lining here is that it's tough for Pfaadt to ever have a worse appearance in his career. His ERA jumped from 3.90 to 5.05, and he's added a 1.32 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB across 62.1 innings over 12 starts. He's tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati.
-
Mike Soroka WAS SP
Nationals' Michael Soroka: Gets plenty of support in win
6h agoSoroka (2-3) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.1 innings to earn the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.
The Nationals put up 10 runs before Soroka threw a pitch, so he was able to work without much pressure. It wasn't all that good of an outing, but he did enough to take care of business and earn his second win in the last three starts. This was the third start in a row where he's pitched into the sixth inning. Soroka has a 5.81 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB over 31 innings over six starts this season. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Rangers.
-
Andy Pages LAD CF
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Contributes solo homer in rout
6h agoPages went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two walks Saturday in an 18-2 win against the Yankees.
Pages entered the seventh inning as the only Los Angeles starting position player who hadn't scored a run, but he took care of that on his own with a solo blast to center field off Luke Weaver. The second-year outfielder closed May with seven RBI over his final five contests while batting .350 (7-for-20) during that span. Over the month as a whole, Pages hit .259 with four home runs, 25 RBI, 12 runs and three stolen bases across 26 games.
-
Carlos Correa MIN SS
Twins' Carlos Correa: First career ejection
6h agoCorrea was ejected from Saturday's loss at Seattle in the seventh inning for arguing with the umpire about the strike zone while in the on-deck circle, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He went 1-for-2 with a double before departing.
Correa had never been ejected from a major-league game before Saturday. His ejection came at a poor time in a close game, as Correa has been hot at the plate. He's hitting .400 (10-for-25) with three home runs in his last eight games since returning from a concussion May 23.
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Limited in Game 6 win
5h agoTurner chipped in 11 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and two rebounds across 21 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 win over the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Turner battled foul trouble, liming him to just 21 minutes. Despite being a non-factor, Indiana was still able to get it done, moving through to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years. Turner has been relatively consistent throughout the postseason, averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over the past 11 games. Oklahoma City will trot out a sizeable lineup, meaning Turner will be called upon to shoulder even more, especially on the defensive end.
-
Obi Toppin IND PF
Pacers' Obi Toppin: Invaluable contributions Saturday
5h agoToppin notched 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three blocks over 25 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 win over New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Toppin scored at least 15 points for just the second time this postseason, adding a season-high three blocks. Despite playing a somewhat inconsistent role, Toppin continues to do the little things well, giving the Pacers an alternative look, if and when Myles Turner is struggling. Saturday's win sees the Pacers advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000, where a matchup with the high-flying Thunder awaits.
-
Andrew Nembhard IND PG
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Elite defensive effort
5h agoNembhard provided 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, eight assists, one block and six steals across 37 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 victory over the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Nembhard was fantastic in the Game 6 win, playing elite defense, limiting Jalen Brunson to just 19 points. The six steals marked a career-high, coming just when the Pacers needed them the most. Although his offensive production can be a little unpredictable at times, he typically provides the team with a consistent defensive presence, along with Aaron Nesmith. Indiana will now face Oklahoma City in the NBA Finals, the first time the Pacers have reached the top of the mountain since 2000.
-
Karl-Anthony Towns NY C
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Closes with another double-double
5h agoTowns chipped in 22 points (8-19 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 loss to the Pacers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Towns ended what was a successful first season in New York, tabling his fourth straight double-double. Despite battling a knee concern, Towns left it all on the court Saturday, doing everything he could to try and get the Knicks over the line. Although the result was not what Knicks fans would have been hoping for, the Towns experiment was certainly a positive. Across 72 regular season games, he put up averages of 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 35.0 minutes per game.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Strong two-way effort in loss
5h agoAnunoby posted 24 points (10-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 loss to Indiana in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Anunoby did everything he could Saturday, leading the Knicks with 24 points to go with four defensive stats. It was a tough loss for New York given the expectations coming into the series. While there will almost certainly be a period of re-evaluation during the offseason, Anunoby's role should remain relatively safe. After a somewhat slow start to the season, he picked things up over the final few months, closing with averages of 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.3 three-pointers across 74 games during the regular season.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Subdued end to season
5h agoHart racked up four points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three steals across 22 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 loss to the Pacers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Hart closed his 2024-25 campaign with a modest effort, scoring single digits for the fourth time in the past six games. After starting every game of the season, Hart moved to the bench for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals as Tom Thibodeau opted to run with a bigger lineup. While the move hadn't impacted Hart too much in terms of playing time, he was limited to just 22 minutes Saturday. Despite a heartbreaking end to the season, Hart proved himself to be a key piece for the Knicks, averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 three-pointers across 77 regular season games.

Alexander Petrovic DAL D
Stars' Alex Petrovic: Waived Saturday
12h agoPetrovic was placed on waivers Saturday, per PuckPedia.
Petrovic was a major part of the Stars' playoff run, appearing in 17 of 18 games. He earned two points and added 32 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. With AHL Texas still competing for the Calder Cup, waiving Petrovic allows him to link up with the minor-league team, assuming he goes unclaimed.
-
Nils Lundkvist DAL D
Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Cleared to return
19h agoLundkvist (shoulder) received medical clearance to play before Game 5 against Edmonton, according to Stars beat reporter Robert Triffin on Saturday.
After undergoing shoulder surgery in February, Lundkvist missed the final 35 games of the regular season and all 18 of Dallas' playoff contests. He concluded the 2024-25 campaign with five assists, 52 shots on goal, 23 hits and 34 blocked shots across 39 appearances. Lundkvist is eligible for restricted free agency this summer and can file for salary arbitration if necessary.
-
A.J. Greer FLA LW
Panthers' A.J. Greer: Day-to-day
19h agoGreer (lower body) is day-to-day and questionable for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Edmonton on Wednesday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Greer sustained an injury versus Carolina on May 24 and missed Game 4 on Monday before logging only 4:22 of playing time in Wednesday's series-clinching win over the Hurricanes in Game 5. The 28-year-old has two goals and an assist in 12 playoff appearances after tallying six goals and 17 points in 81 outings during the regular season. If Greer is unavailable for Wednesday's series opener, Jesper Boqvist, Nico Sturm or Mackie Samoskevich could play against the Oilers.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Had fractured foot
19h agoHintz battled a fractured foot during the Western Conference Finals, Stars beat writer Robert Tiffin reported Saturday.
The slash that caused Hintz to miss Game 3 from Darnell Nurse fractured his foot, Hintz confirmed at the Stars' exit interviews. He was able to return for the final two games of the series, scoring a goal, but the 28-year-old didn't look 100 percent. He should be good to go for training camp in the fall.
-
Josh Mahura SEA D
Kraken's Josh Mahura: Staying in Seattle
2d agoMahura signed a two-year, $1.815 million contract extension with the Kraken on Friday.
Mahura drew into 64 games in 2024-25, earning nine assists, 58 shots on net, 89 hits, 54 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating. The 27-year-old defenseman will be in contention for a bottom-four role throughout 2025-26, but his limited scoring potential -- his career high is 16 points in 2022-23 -- gives him minimal fantasy value.
-
Andrew Poturalski SJ C
Andrew Poturalski: Released from contract
2d agoPoturalski was released from his contract Friday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Poturalski asked the Sharks to release him so he could play outside North America next season. The 31-year-old Buffalo native played three regular-season games with San Jose this season, picking up one assist.
