Josiah Deguara GB TE
Jaguars' Josiah Deguara: Inking with Jacksonville
2h agoThe Jaguars are slated to sign Deguara to a one-year contract, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Deguara spent the last four seasons handling a depth role in Green Bay, where he was drafted in the third round back in 2020. His versatility both as a blocker and on special teams will boost his chances of earning playing time behind Evan Engram, but Deguara peaked with a 25-245-2 receiving line in 2021 and doesn't appear to have much fantasy potential.

J.K. Dobbins BAL RB
J.K. Dobbins: Lines up AFC West visit
3h agoDobbins (Achilles) is visiting the Chargers on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Dobbins, who was recently medically cleared for football activities, is coming off a left Achilles tear after previously missing all of 2021 and about half of the 2022 season due to a torn ACL and proceeding issues. That medical history undercuts otherwise impressive career numbers for Dobbins, who has averaged 5.8 yards per carry and scored 13 touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2020 as a second-round pick by the Ravens, but only suited up for 24 games in that span. Reuniting with offensive coordinator Greg Roman could make the most sense as a landing spot for Dobbins, but it's possible he doesn't garner more interest than a potential prove-it deal. The Chargers signed Gus Edwards,a former Baltimore backfield mate of Dobbins, early in free agency.

Derek Stingley Jr. HOU CB
Texans' Derek Stingley: Slow start, strong finish
3h agoStingley recorded 39 tackles, 13 passes defensed and five interceptions over 11 regular-season games in 2023.
Stingley, a second-year cornerback and 2022 first-round draft pick, suffered a Week 3 hamstring that created issues for the defense early on, but upon his return Week 10, Stingley made an impact. He had interceptions in three straight games, including a Week 13 win over the Broncos. Stingley will return as Houston's top cornerback in 2024.

DeAndre Houston-Carson HOU DB
DeAndre Houston-Carson: Enters free agency
3h agoHouston-Carson recorded 41 tackles, five passes defensed, two interceptions and one fumble recovery over 13 regular-season games in 2023.
Houston-Carson started the season in Baltimore then finished up in Houston, where he played a career-high 447 snaps on defense. Injuries on the back end led to Houston-Carson playing a big role for the Texans, including two pivotal plays in a Week 10 win over the Bengals. He entered unrestricted free agency during the offseason.
-
Jimmie Ward HOU SAF
Texans' Jimmie Ward: Injury-marred 2023
4h agoWard (quadriceps) recorded 50 tackles, three passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble over 10 games in 2023.
Ward, a team captain, was beset by injuries all season long. He missed time due to hip, hamstring and shoulder injuries before a quadricep ended his season in December. In between the setbacks, Ward played well, and his one interception was an end-zone pick that sealed a win over Denver. Houston went 6-4 in games he played and could use his stabilizing presence on the back end. Ward turns 33 in July and will be entering his 11th season.

Henry To'oTo'o HOU LB
Texans' Henry To'oTo'o: Contributes in rookie season
4h agoTo'oTo'o recorded 61 tackles, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 15 regular-season games in 2023.
To'oTo'o, a fifth-round draft pick out of Alabama, started from Week 2 to Week 7 and played in both of Houston's playoff games during his rookie season. The Texans lost two linebackers to free agency -- Blake Cashman and Denzel Perryman -- which leaves To'oTo'o as a projected starter for 2024. However, Houston is expected to address the position during the offseason.

Nick Burdi NYY RP
Yankees' Nick Burdi: Added to roster
4m agoThe Yankees selected Burdi's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
Burdi has had a terrible time staying off the injured list in his pro career, but he's healthy now and won a bullpen spot after an impressive spring. The hard-thrower should work in the middle innings for now.
-
Luis Gil NYY SP
Yankees' Luis Gil: Recalled from Triple-A
5m agoThe Yankees recalled Gil from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
Gil was optioned back in early March but wound up winning the Yankees' fifth starter job after Gerrit Cole (elbow) went down. He is tentatively slated to make his season debut on Monday in Arizona.
-
McKinley Moore NYY RP
Yankees' McKinley Moore: Goes on IL with knee injury
7m agoThe Yankees placed Moore on the 15-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to March 25, with right knee bursitis.
Moore didn't pitch this spring because of the injury and it's not clear how long he might be out. The right-handed reliever was a waiver claim back in February.
-
DJ LeMahieu NYY 3B
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Goes on 10-day injured list
11m agoThe Yankees placed LeMahieu on the 10-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to March 25, with a right foot contusion.
LeMahieu's rehab from a bone bruise in his foot is coming along but hasn't advanced enough for him to play in the opener. The veteran infielder will undergo an MRI Friday to check his progress. Oswaldo Cabrera and Jon Berti will handle third base while LeMahieu is out.
-
Gerrit Cole NYY SP
Yankees' Gerrit Cole: Placed on 60-day IL
15m agoThe Yankees placed Cole on the 60-day injured list Thursday with right elbow inflammation.
The initial timetable for Cole's return from his right elbow injury was 1-to-2 months, but clearly it's going to be closer to the latter end of that span. The hope is that the reigning American League Cy Young winner will be ready to begin a throwing program in a couple weeks, but the Yankees will not rush what will be a slow and steady build-up.
-
Jonah Bride MIA 3B
Marlins' Jonah Bride: Recalled from Triple-A
25m agoThe Marlins recalled Bride from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Miami had sent Bride to minor-league camp earlier this month, but he'll now fill the roster spot vacated by the trade of Jon Berti. Bride will provide depth at multiple infield spots.

Bogdan Bogdanovic ATL SG
Hawks' Bogdan Bogdanovic: Struggles from deep Wednesday
10m agoBogdanovic notched 16 points (7-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and three steals in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 120-106 win over the Trail Blazers.
Bogdanovic didn't have his best shooting performance and was particularly inaccurate from beyond the arc. Still, the veteran sharpshooter continues to make his presence felt even when his shot isn't falling regularly. Bogdanovic has started in all two games for the Hawks since the All-Star break and is averaging 15.4 points while shooting 39.6 percent from deep in that 15-game span in a starting role.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Held in check against Chicago
12m agoSiakam registered 14 points (2-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 9-11 FT), eight rebounds and five assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 125-99 loss to the Bulls.
Siakam's season-low seven field-goal attempts led to one of his lowest-scoring outputs of 2023-24 on Wednesday. However, the star forward still was able to lead Indiana in rebounds during their blowout loss. Despite Siakam's poor shooting night, he is still converting 54.0 percent of his field-goal attempts across his 14 appearances in March.
-
Clint Capela ATL C
Hawks' Clint Capela: Records another double-double
13m agoCapela accumulated 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and four steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 120-106 victory over the Trail Blazers.
Capela posted his fourth consecutive double-double, and the veteran big man has now reached that tally in nine of his last 10 appearances, showing an excellent understanding with Dejounte Murray and also being a standout presence on the defensive end. Capela will aim to keep that streak alive when hosting the Celtics on Thursday.
-
Dejounte Murray ATL PG
Hawks' Dejounte Murray: Double-double streak snapped
15m agoMurray supplied 30 points (13-20 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 120-106 victory over the Trail Blazers.
Murray failed to record a sixth consecutive double-double, but the versatile guard continues to make a massive impact on the offensive end of the court as a primary scorer and playmaker for a Hawks team that continues to operate without Trae Young (finger). Murray's impact has been massive for the Hawks, as he's averaging 27.7 points, 9.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game over his last 10 appearances. To note, Atlanta has gone 5-5 in that span.
-
Andrew Nembhard IND PG
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Leads team in scoring
16m agoNembhard chipped in 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 125-99 loss to the Bulls.
Nembhard's efficient shooting helped him lead Indiana in scoring during Wednesday's blowout loss to the Bulls. The 23-year-old guard has now recorded at least one steal in three straight contests. Across his 14 appearances in March, Nembhard is posting 52.3/37.8/77.8 shooting splits.
-
Scoot Henderson POR PG
Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Scores 15 with 16 shots
22m agoHenderson ended Wednesday's 120-106 loss to Atlanta with 15 points (6-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, six assists and two steals across 32 minutes.
Henderson didn't have his best shooting performance Wednesday, and just like the rest of the Trail Blazers offense, he struggled in yet another loss. Henderson has now scored in double figures in eight games in a row and seems to be adjusting better to the pace of the NBA, but he won't go far in fantasy -- especially category-based leagues -- if he continues to shoot under 40 percent from the field. He's making just 39.7 percent of his shots during that eight-game span.
-
Nick Seeler PHI D
Flyers' Nick Seeler: Not playing Thursday
4m agoSeeler (lower body) will not be in the lineup Thursday in Montreal, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
Seeler is a possibility for weekend action, according to general manager Danny Briere. The defenseman has missed the last 10 games and has a goal, 11 assists, 112 hits and 184 blocked shots in 63 appearances this season.
-
Jean-Luc Foudy COL C
Avalanche's Jean-Luc Foudy: Recalled from AHL
14m agoFoudy was called up from AHL Colorado on Thursday.
Foudy scored a goal in his only NHL game of the season, back on March 6. He was recalled as the Avalanche have only 11 healthy forwards, as Valeri Nichushkin is questionable with a lower-body injury. Foudy had three goals and nine points in 18 AHL games before his recall.
-
Cayden Primeau MON G
Canadiens' Cayden Primeau: Tending twine Thursday
24m agoPrimeau will guard the home cage versus the Flyers on Thursday.
Primeau has made just 17 appearances this season, in part due to the club's decision to carry three netminders for more of the year. With Jake Allen in New Jersey, the 24-year-old Primeau has seen an increase in starts, though he remains the No. 2 option behind Sam Montembeault.
-
Anton Forsberg OTT G
Senators' Anton Forsberg: In goal Thursday
24m agoForsberg will be in the home crease versus Chicago on Thursday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Forsberg will get his first start in four games, after allowing four goals on 26 shots in a 5-2 loss to St. Louis on March 21. Forsberg is 12-12-0 with a 3.42 GAA and an .885 save percentage this season. The Blackhawks are averaging 2.21 goals this season, last in the NHL.
-
Thomas Chabot OTT D
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Not playing Thursday
28m agoChabot (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup Thursday versus Chicago, according to Ian Mendes of The Athletic.
Chabot has been dealing with a nagging issue for a couple of weeks, according to coach Jacques Martin. Chabot had an assist Wednesday in a 6-2 win over Buffalo, giving the defenseman 28 points in 44 games. He will be replaced on the blue line by Tyler Kleven, while Ridly Greig could see some power-play time on the second unit in place of Chabot.
-
Connor Hellebuyck WPG G
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Between pipes Thursday
29m agoHellebucyk will tend the twine for Thursday's home clash with the Golden Knights, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Hellebuyck is mired in a three-game losing streak during which he posted a 4.78 GAA and .862 save percentage. The netminder had only one other three-game slump this season, so he will no doubt be hoping to avoid his first four-game losing stretch of the year.
