Shemar Jean-Charles NO CB
Saints' Shemar Jean-Charles: Back in Big Easy
7h agoJean-Charles re-signed with the Saints on Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Jean-Charles was not tendered by New Orleans as a restricted free agent, but he will return to the team nonetheless. After spending his first two seasons in Green Bay, the 25-year-old suited up for eight games between the 49ers and Saints in 2023. He accumulated four tackles (three solo) in the process. The Appalachian State product will now look to make an impression during offseason workouts.

Emanuel Wilson GB RB
Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Sticks in Green Bay as ERFA
9h agoThe Packers re-signed Wilson on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
An undrafted rookie in 2023, Wilson made the Packers' initial 53-man roster following the preseason and even mixed into seven regular-season games, taking 14 carries for 85 yards and hauling in four of five targets for 23 yards while working behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Green Bay swapped out Jones for Josh Jacobs and also retained Dillon this offseason, meaning Wilson is poised for a similar role in the coming campaign, barring potential additions to the backfield in free agency or the draft.

Nick McCloud NYG CB
Giants' Nick McCloud: Stays in the Big Apple
9h agoMcCloud (back) re-signed with the Giants on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McCloud finished his 2023 campaign on the sidelines after getting injured in the team's season finale against the Eagles. Healthy now, the Notre Dame product can focus on being ready for a third campaign in New York after signing his free-agent tender.
-
Maxx Crosby LV DE
Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Fully healthy
9h agoCrosby (knee) said, "I'm feeling better than I ever have," Monday, after he spent much of 2023 fighting through a knee injury that required draining multiple times a week, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
Crosby set career highs in combined tackles (90) and sacks (14.5) last season despite spending much of the campaign hampered by a bursa joint issue. The 26-year-old underwent a procedure to correct it in January after the season ended and began rehabbing it soon after, which went "incredible," according to Crosby.

Rashee Rice KC WR
Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Expected to participate in virtual meetings
10h agoCoach Andy Reid indicated Monday that Rice is expected to remotely participate in the initial stage of the Chiefs' voluntary offseason program via virtual meetings, NFL.com reports.
Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, Rice -- who is is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury stemming from his involvement in a car crash in Dallas last month -- turned himself in to police last week and was subsequently released on bond. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the league has been closely monitoring developments related to the incident, while Reid noted that it remains to be seen whether the wideout will participate later in the spring when the team's offseason program moves to Kansas City. "I want to keep gathering the information from the law enforcement people,'" Reid said Monday. "We'll just see where everything goes from there (and) let the process take place."

Drew Forbes CLE OT
Drew Forbes: Gets let go
10h agoForbes (back) was released by the Browns on Monday with a failed physical designation, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Forbes missed all of 2023 due to a back injury suffered during training camp. It's unclear what the injury is specifically or how close he could be to being healthy enough to compete. Either way, the 27-year-old will now be a free agent until he is at least fully recovered.

C.J. Abrams WAS SS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Goes deep in win
4m agoAbrams went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run and a double in Monday's 6-4 victory against the Dodgers.
Abrams led off the game with a double, reached third base on a groundout and scored on a Tyler Glasnow wild pitch. He added a solo homer off Tyler Glasnow in the third inning to round out a productive night. Abrams has gone 5-for-13 over his past three games, with all five of his hits during that span going for extra bases. On the season, he has an impressive 1.004 OPS with four homers, three doubles, two triples, 10 RBI, nine runs and three stolen bases over 60 plate appearances.
-
Jordan Westburg BAL 3B
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Three hits, two RBI in win
7m agoWestburg went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 7-4 win over the Twins.
Westburg opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning, and the Orioles never trailed. The infielder has gone 8-for-16 with four RBI and three runs scored over his last four contests. Westburg is slashing .302/.373/.547 with three homers, 12 RBI, 10 runs scored, four doubles and two stolen bases through 60 plate appearances. He's in no danger of losing the starting job at third base as long as he's hitting well.
-
Luis Garcia WAS 2B
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Belts big homer in victory
8m agoGarcia went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Dodgers in Monday's 6-4 win.
Garcia produced the biggest hit of the contest for Washington, slamming a three-run homer in the fifth inning to extend the team's lead to four runs. The long ball was his first of the campaign, but he's also tied for third in the league with seven doubles. Garcia has looked good so far this season, slashing .318/.333/.545 with eight RBI, four runs and a stolen base through 45 plate appearances.
-
Ryan O'Hearn BAL DH
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Homers again Monday
9m agoO'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-4 win over the Twins.
O'Hearn has two homers and a pair of multi-hit efforts over his last two contests. The 30-year-old has carved out a strong-side platoon role at designated hitter while also seeing some time at first base. O'Hearn is quietly finding success in the heart of the Orioles' order, batting .325 with three homers, four RBI, nine runs scored, two doubles and a triple through 13 contests. He has not yet attempted a stolen base after swiping five bags in 112 games last year.
-
Kyle Finnegan WAS RP
Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Nails down another save
11m agoFinnegan picked up a save against the Dodgers on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.
Finnegan was staked to a two-run lead when he entered in the ninth inning, and he retired all three batters he faced to close out the contest. The right-hander is tied for the league lead with six saves on the campaign, and he's held the opponent without an earned run in all but one of his eight outings. Finnegan came into the season with a shaky hold on the closer role for the Nationals, but he appears to be firmly in control of ninth-inning duties for the time being given his success rate so far.
-
Cedric Mullins BAL CF
Orioles' Cedric Mullins: Pops homer in win
12m agoMullins went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly in Monday's 7-4 win over the Twins.
Mullins' fifth-inning blast was ultimately the hit that put the game out of the Twins' reach. The outfielder has hit safely in seven straight games, and he's homered in each of the last two contests. He's batting .265 with an .872 OPS, four long balls, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored, two stolen bases and two doubles over 16 contests. Mullins has hit no higher than fifth in the order this season, but that's allowed him to be more involved in run production with his hot start to the campaign.
-
Olivier Sarr OKC C
Thunder's Olivier Sarr: Goes down with ankle injury
5h agoSarr left Monday's Game 3 of the G League Finals against the Maine Celtics due to an ankle injury, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
Sarr was involved in a collision while pursuing a rebound, and he ultimately needed to be carried to the locker room. His return to Monday's clash seems unlikely given the circumstances in which he exited.
-
Draymond Green GS PF
Warriors' Draymond Green: Cleared for Play-In Tournament
7h agoGreen (knee) will play Tuesday versus Sacramento.
Green and Stephen Curry (ankle) have both been removed from Monday's injury report, while Gary Payton (calf) is officially inactive. Malik Monk (knee) and Kevin Huerter (shoulder) represent notable absences for Sacramento, although there should still be no shortage of drama, as three of Golden State's four regular-season meetings versus the Kings this year were decided by exactly one point.
-
Stephen Curry GS PG
Warriors' Stephen Curry: Removed from injury report
7h agoCurry (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Tuesday's Play-In Tournament game against Sacramento.
Curry and Draymond Green (knee) have both been cleared for action Tuesday, leaving Gary Payton (calf) as the Warriors' lone absence. Golden State will be traveling to Sacramento for Tuesday's showdown, returning to the scene of the crime where Curry dropped 50 points (20-38 FG, 7-18 3Pt) in a victorious Game 7 of last year's first-round series between these teams. Additionally, Curry averaged 31.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists in four games against the Kings this season.
-
Christian Wood LAL PF
Lakers' Christian Wood: Ruled out for Tuesday's game
9h agoWood (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Wood has been sidelined since undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in March, and he'll remain sidelined as the Lakers begin postseason play Tuesday. It's unclear if he'll be available at any point if the team advances in the postseason.
-
Jarred Vanderbilt LAL PF
Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Remains out
9h agoVanderbilt (foot) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Pelicans.
Vanderbilt's defensive efforts were a key part of the Lakers' run to the Western Conference Finals last season. However, he has been unavailable for most of 2023-24, playing just 29 regular-season games (six appearances). Vanderbilt hasn't played since Feb. 1, so his continued absence shouldn't impact coach Darvin Ham's rotation.
-
LeBron James LAL SF
Lakers' LeBron James: Probable for Tuesday
9h agoJames (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's Play-In Tournament matchup against the Pelicans, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
James continues to deal with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy, but he'll likely be able to suit up as the Lakers begin postseason play Tuesday. He appeared in the team's final three regular-season games and averaged 32.7 points, 11.0 assists, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in 38.3 minutes per game.
-
Kevin Fiala LA LW
Kings' Kevin Fiala: Plucks apple in loss
32m agoFiala recorded an assist and blocked two shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Wild.
Fiala set up Blake Lizotte on the Kings' lone tally of the game. With five goals and three assists over eight contests since the start of April, Fiala has done his part to keep the Kings' offense strong and balanced. The winger is up to 73 points, surpassing his total from last season, while adding 220 shots on net, 66 hits, 62 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 81 appearances this year.
-
Blake Lizotte LA C
Kings' Blake Lizotte: Nets lone goal in loss
34m agoLizotte scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Wild.
Lizotte scored for the first time since March 25 -- he had just two assists over the nine games in between goals. The 26-year-old forward is up to 15 points, 75 shots on net, 63 hits and a plus-12 rating over 61 appearances this season. He remains in a bottom-six role, providing a bit of grit and defensive value with limited offense.
-
Cam Talbot LA G
Kings' Cam Talbot: Falls to Wild
35m agoTalbot gave up three goals on 28 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Wild.
Talbot had an assist on the Kings' lone tally, but he wasn't sharp enough. The loss puts the Kings in danger of slipping into a wild-card spot. Talbot is now 26-20-6 with a 2.47 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 53 outings this season. He's won three of his last six games. The Kings wrap up their regular-season slate at home versus the Blackhawks on Thursday.
-
Jacob Middleton MIN D
Wild's Jacob Middleton: Assists in consecutive games
37m agoMiddleton logged an assist in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
Middleton has a helper in each of the last two games following an eight-game point drought. The 28-year-old defenseman is up to 24 points through 79 outings, by far the best season of his career. He's added 145 hits, 158 blocked shots, 84 shots on net and PIM, though his minus-16 rating is one negative mark on an otherwise solid campaign for a stay-at-home blueliner.
-
Brock Faber MIN D
Wild's Brock Faber: Snags helper Monday
40m agoFaber notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
Faber is putting together a strong finish to the campaign with five helpers over his last six games, though he's also gone minus-3 in that span. The rookie defenseman is up to 46 points, 133 shots on net, 150 blocked shots and 64 hits through 81 outings overall. He was able to command a top-pairing role throughout the campaign as one of the best rookies in the league.
-
Joel Eriksson Ek MIN C
Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Sends assist in win
1h agoEriksson Ek registered an assist, three shots on goal, two PIM and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.
Eriksson Ek helped out on a Ryan Hartman tally late in the second period, which was the game-winner. The helper was Eriksson Ek's second in as many contests, but he's been limited to three assists over eight games in April. The center has put together a career year with 64 points, 266 shots on net, 167 hits, 60 PIM and a plus-18 rating, all personal bests, in 76 outings, but he's faded late in the campaign.
