Dealing Aces

1. Chris Sale (FD > $10,700) threw the ball well in his last start against the A’s when he tossed eight shutout innings with eight Ks. Over his last five starts, Chris has a 3.03 ERA with 36 Ks in 35.2 innings. Sale is 4-0 in his career vs. the Mariners with a 2.22 ERA and 60 strikeouts over 48.2 innings. He continues to win games (15 in 24 starts) while some correction needed in his ERA (4.01) at home. Six of the top seven hitters on the Mariners hit left handed, which is strong reason to push on Sale tonight. Kyle Seager has a foot issue and he may not play. Nelson Cruz has two HRs over 19 at bats with five other hits in this matchup. Chris has 31 Ks over his last 29.2 innings. His arm is rounding back into form giving him a chance at impact Ks plus Chicago has won four of their last five games. Sale faces a tough pitcher (Felix Hernandez), but I believe he still has the edge in all areas with a win highly likely even with a short betting line (-125).
