Michael Barrett LV LB
Raiders' Michael Barrett: Signs with Raiders
12h agoBarrett signed with the Raiders on Wednesday, Ryan Zuke of mlivenews.com reports.
Barrett is headed to Las Vegas after having spent time with both the Panthers and Seahawks during his rookie season in 2024. He has yet to appear in an NFL game and will spend the remainder of the offseason competing for a roster spot.

Christian Wilkins LV DT
Raiders' Christian Wilkins: Still dealing with injury
12h agoWilkins is still dealing with his foot injury, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Wilkins has yet to recover from a foot injury suffered in October of last year, and head coach Pete Carroll said there's currently no timetable on his return. If Wilkins is unable to get healthy in time for the start of the regular season, Leki Fotu could serve as one of the team's starting defensive tackles in his place.

JJ Russell ARI ILB
Cardinals' J.J. Russell: Arriving in Arizona
16h agoRussell signed with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
The Memphis product spent the first three years of his career with the Buccaneers but has now found a new home in Arizona. Russell appeared in 16 regular-season games for Tampa Bay in 2024, tallying 33 total tackles and one pass defended across 568 total snaps (236 defensive and 332 on special teams). With the Cardinals, the 26-year-old is expected to compete for a depth spot in the team's linebacker corps.

Luther Burden III CHI WR
Bears' Luther Burden: Out with soft-tissue injury
17h agoBurden (undisclosed) is not participating in Wednesday's offseason practice due to a soft-tissue injury, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The exact nature of Burden's injury has yet to be disclosed, but Kaitlin Sharkey of WGNTV reports that there is currently no timetable for the rookie second-round pick's return. It's less than ideal for Burden to be missing early install reps, but he has roughly two weeks to recover before the start of mandatory minicamp June 3, not to mention training camp in late July. When healthy, Burden is expected to push for a starting role alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. Head coach Ben Johnson called Burden's injury "a little soft tissue deal," per Adam Jahns of The Athletic, an indication that the Missouri product isn't managing an overly serious issue.

Myles Bryant HOU CB
Texans' Myles Bryant: Back with Houston
17h agoBryant re-signed with the Texans on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The five-year NFL veteran has inked a deal to return to Houston after spending part of the 2024 campaign with the team. Bryant appeared in 11 regular-season games last season, recording 14 total tackles while playing 188 total snaps (67 defensive and 121 on special teams). With Bryant returning to the Texans, he's expected to compete for a depth spot in the team's secondary.

Will McDonald IV NYJ DE
Jets' Will McDonald: Puts on weight
17h agoHead coach Aaron Glenn told reporters Wednesday that McDonald added 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
The 2023 first-round pick from Iowa State is already coming off the best season of his career, posting 28 total tackles, including 10.5 sacks, three passes defended and two forced fumbles across 17 regular-season games. With a new defensive-minded head coach in Glenn and added muscle, McDonald appears poised to take another step forward and emerge as one of the NFL's top edge rushers in 2025.

Josh Palacios CHW RF
White Sox's Joshua Palacios: Productive series against Mariners
18m agoPalacios went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday against the Mariners.
Palacios has served on the large side of a platoon in right field for the White Sox and struggled to just a .218 average across 100 plate appearances. However, he slugged his second home run of the season Wednesday to cap a productive series against the Mariners, during which he went 4-for-10 with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Both Mike Tauchman (hamstring) and Andrew Benintendi (calf) are on rehab assignments, and Palacios will likely head to a bench role when both are activated.

Teoscar Hernandez LAD RF
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Slugs decisive homer
4h agoHernandez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in a 3-1 win against Arizona on Wednesday.
Corbin Burnes frustrated Los Angeles batters for most of the night, but Hernandez made the veteran hurler pay for his lone mistake with a three-run blast on a slider over the plate in the sixth inning. That long ball stood up as the Dodgers' only extra-base hit in the contest and provided the decisive runs in the 3-1 win. This was just Hernandez's third game (and second start) following a two-week stint on the IL, and the homer was the All-Star outfielder's first hit since his return to action.

Corbin Burnes ARI SP
Diamondbacks' Corbin Burnes: One mistake results in defeat
4h agoBurnes (3-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over seven innings.
Burnes stymied Los Angeles through six scoreless frames and clung to a one-run lead entering the seventh. In that frame, an infield single by Miguel Rojas and a Mookie Betts single that just got out of the infield put runners on the corners, but Burnes was able to strike out Freddie Freeman to get within an out of escaping the jam. However, the veteran hurler threw a slider that got too much of the plate, and Teoscar Hernandez jumped on it for a three-run homer that spoiled Burnes' outing and resulted in a loss. Despite that mistake, Burnes managed his fourth straight quality start, and over that stretch he's compiled a 1.38 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB over 26 innings.
-
Tanner Scott LAD RP
Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Bounces back with smooth save
4h agoScott earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.
Scott blew a save opportunity while giving up three runs (two earned) over 1.2 frames Tuesday, but he was right back on the mound one day later despite having thrown 28 pitches in that outing. This time the southpaw got the job done, throwing 12 of 14 pitches for strikes and fanning two batters en route to an impressive 1-2-3 frame. Seven different Dodgers relievers have a save this season, but Scott is the clear leader of the pack with 10 saves (no other Dodgers pitcher has more than two). As such, he should be viewed as one of fantasy's most desirable relievers despite the fact that he'll occasionally be used in high-leverage situations before the ninth inning.
-
Dustin May LAD SP
Dodgers' Dustin May: Nabs win with standout start
4h agoMay (2-4) earned the win over Arizona on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.
May had hit a bit of a rough patch coming into Wednesday, posting a 6.51 ERA over his previous five starts. The right-hander turned things around in fine fashion against Arizona, however, notching his fourth quality start of the campaign but just his second over his past six appearances. May actually was in position to take the loss when he threw his final pitch, but a three-run home run by Teoscar Hernandez in the bottom of the sixth inning turned a 1-0 Dodgers deficit into a 3-1 lead and resulted in the hurler's second victory of the campaign. May had plenty of positive takeaways from this outing -- he tied a season high with eight punchouts and racked up 14 whiffs -- and will look to build upon the victory in what's projected to be a road start in Cleveland his next time on the mound.
-
Joe Ross PHI RP
Phillies' Joe Ross: Finding success as middle reliever
4h agoRoss threw two scoreless innings in Wednesday's 9-5 win over the Rockies. He struck out three.
Ross continues to operate as a multi-inning reliever for the Phillies, and he's pitched well in recent weeks. After logging a 9.39 ERA over his first 7.2 innings of the year, the veteran right-hander holds a 1.72 ERA and 13:2 K:BB across his last 15.2 frames. Ross still remains without a clear pathway to fantasy appeal, as he remains out of Philadelphia's rotation and high-leverage picture despite the absences of Aaron Nola (ankle) and Jose Alvarado (suspension).
-
Delon Wright NY SG
Knicks' Delon Wright: Rare appearance in Game 1 loss
4h agoWright closed Wednesday's 138-135 overtime loss to Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with no counting stats in zero minutes.
Wright made an appearance for just the second time these playoffs due purely to the fact Jalen Brunson was in foul trouble. Despite being a strong defender, Wright has been unable to carve out a consistent role in New York, something which certainly isn't out of the ordinary for fringe players under Tom Thibodeau. Barring injuries to others, Wright is likely going to spend the majority of his time riding the pine.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Strong two-way performance
4h agoAnunoby supplied 16 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, three blocks and three steals in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 138-135 overtime loss to the Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Anunoby got it done on both ends of the floor, albeit in a losing effort. He has now recorded 10 combined steals and blocks over the past two games, averaging 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.5 blocks and 3.0 three-pointers during that time. The loss sees the Knicks fall behind 1-0 despite having home-court advantage. Following what was a devastating defeat, New York will need to refocus heading into Game 2 Friday.
-
Karl-Anthony Towns NY C
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: 35-point effort not enough
4h agoTowns logged 35 points (11-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 138-135 overtime loss to the Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Towns scored a postseason-high 35 points, adding double-digit rebounds for the eighth time in the past 10 games. While both he and Jalen Brunson did everything they could to get the Knicks over the line, a late flurry by the Pacers proved too much. This will feel like one that got away for New York after having led by double-digits during the final quarter. Game 2 will be in New York on Friday, with the Knicks needing to win to avoid trailing 2-0 heading back to Indiana.
-
Ben Sheppard IND SG
Pacers' Ben Sheppard: Fails to score in victory
4h agoSheppard notched zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist over seven minutes during Wednesday's 138-135 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Sheppard continues to play a minimal role, failing to score for the fourth time in the past seven games. In fact, Sheppard didn't even enter the rotation until late in the contest after having played a role in the first half of the previous eight playoff games. Indiana is now at the pointy end of the season, meaning there could be a squeeze for minutes for players like Sheppard.
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Modest performance in Game 1 win
4h agoTurner posted 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 138-135 overtime victory over New York in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Turner scored double-digit points for the eighth straight game, although his supporting numbers were just serviceable, at best. Prior to Wednesday, Turner had blocked 12 shots in his previous four games, something the coaching staff would welcome with open arms moving forward. If he can play more of a prominent role on the defensive end, that will go a long way to helping Indiana assert its dominance. The two teams will meet again in New York on Friday.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Clutch performance again Wednesday
4h agoHaliburton ended with 31 points (12-23 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 138-135 overtime victory over New York in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Haliburton broke the hearts of Knicks fans, hitting a final-second jump shot to force overtime, during which the Pacers did enough to secure victory. It marks the second straight game with 31 points for Haliburton, continuing his impressive postseason run. He also handed out double-digit assists for the sixth time in these playoffs and has Indiana positioned well heading into Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
-
Darnell Nurse EDM D
Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Posts helper
7h agoNurse logged an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1.
Nurse has a helper in each of the last two games, and all five of his points this postseason have come over the last seven contests. The defenseman is at two goals, three assists, 29 shots on net, 30 hits, 29 blocked shots, six PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 12 playoff outings. While he won't add offense all the time, he's a steady source of non-scoring production.
-
Connor McDavid EDM C
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Dishes pair of assists
7h agoMcDavid logged two assists, including one on the power play, and four shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1.
McDavid has earned six multi-point efforts already this postseason, with his latest featuring helpers on goals by Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The 28-year-old McDavid has three goals, 16 assists, 47 shots on net, 17 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 12 playoff contests. The Stars have the defensive depth to make his life challenging in the Western Conference Finals, but it's safe to assume McDavid will still find a way to leave his fingerprints on most games.
-
Evan Bouchard EDM D
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Lights lamp in loss
8h agoBouchard scored a goal in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1.
Bouchard snapped a seven-game goal drought, giving the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the second period. He was still productive in the second round versus the Golden Knights, earning five assists in as many contests. The defenseman has five goals, eight assists, 31 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 12 outings this postseason while filling his usual roles on the top pairing and first power-play unit.
-
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins EDM C
Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: One of each in Game 1 loss
8h agoNugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist and logged two hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1.
Nugent-Hopkins didn't scored in the second round, though he had four helpers over five games against the Golden Knights. He was held off the scoresheet in a pair of low-scoring contests to close out that series. The 32-year-old is up to four goals, seven assists, four power-play points, 26 shots on net, 12 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 12 playoff outings.
-
Leon Draisaitl EDM C
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Involved in all three goals in loss
8h agoDraisaitl scored a goal on four shots, added two assists and doled out two hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1.
Draisaitl earned his sixth multi-point effort over 12 games this postseason. He opened the scoring midway through the first period and helped out on goals by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evan Bouchard in the second. Draisaitl is up to six goals, 13 assists, five power-play points, 37 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-7 rating this postseason. He centered his own line Wednesday, but if the Oilers struggle in Game 2, it wouldn't be surprising to see Draisaitl and Connor McDavid reunited on the top line.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Crumbles in third period
8h agoSkinner stopped 22 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars in Game 1. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Skinner had a 3-1 lead to protect at the start of the third period, but the Oilers' parade to the penalty box proved costly. The 26-year-old netminder gave up three power-play goals in the first six minutes of the final frame, and the Oilers never recovered. Skinner has been extreme in both directions this postseason -- at 2-4, he's earned two shutout wins while allowing four or more goals in each of his losses. He'll keep the crease until Calvin Pickard (undisclosed) is healthy, but if first-round Skinner is back, the Oilers could end up digging a deep hole. Game 2 is Friday in Dallas.
