Today is going to be a great day, as we have a huge slate to play. 13 games with 26 teams going. All but three of the games drop the puck before 8 pm, so it is a lot to filter. I am going to break from the standard write-up, as it will take me almost seven pages to point out plays. Instead, what I am going to do is suggest a few games to target, and the players to target from that game. With so many games today and so many players to choose from, pay lines and ownership levels will be lower. So targeting a few games in your GPP and cash games will help you maximize your value. As always I will start with my three top players to start building around and my sleeper pick, which has hit the last three nights. Going for four in a row this weekend. Let us get this puck sliding down the ice.

Cappy's Cappers

Steven Stamkos - Center - (8300 FD / 7600 DK) - Stamkos and the Lightning come into this contest as heavy favorites (-175) against the Devils. In 25 career games against the Devils, Stamkos has 26 points (15 goals / 11 assists). Six of his goals have come on the man advantage. His line should handle the scoring for this game, with Stamkos highlighting the score sheets.

Logan Couture - Center - (6900 FD / 6200 DK) - Logan and his San Jose Sharks visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets have swiss cheese for defense, and Logan and his linemates are going to own this game. In 15 career games against the Jackets, Logan has 12 points (four goals / eight assists) with five of his points coming on the power play. I see the Sharks being on the power play a lot today.

Brandon Sutter - Center - (4000 FD / 4400 DK) - Brandon and his Vancouver Canucks go up against the Calgary Flames, who just lost last night to the Edmonton Oilers. I like playing against a team on the back end of a back to back after they lose, especially when they are the road team. Being the second line center, most people will overlook him and his line. Brandon is trying to come out and establish himself as one of the top players on the Canucks. Everyone will focus on the Sedin twins, but they are getting rather old, and I think Sutter's line owns the game.

Sleeper Special

Charlie Coyle - Right Wing - (4600 FD / 4500 DK) - I know you all are use to me picking a rookie as my sleeper special, but with such a large slate, I am going for a low priced guy that is full of upside. Charlie plays on the Minnesota Wild's top line with Eric Staal and Zach Parise (hint hint), and also is on their top power play unit. He is one of the best priced top line players on a rather large slate. Last season, Charlie scored 42 total points last season (21 goals / 21 assists), out of that 18 of his assists came with his linemates. I love Charlie to score two goals and two assists.

Cappy's Plays

As I had mentioned earlier, I will point out a few games to target on this slate, and what players to look at in those games. Otherwise, this sheet will be seven pages long and you will get lost in a sea of names. You can use any combination of these players, or you can use one each and try to top out the scoring. But today is a day I highly suggest line stacking in your GPP games.
