Good afternoon to all my friends on this amazing fall day. I hope everyone had a profitable night last night and is ready to repeat the process today. We have a nice 12 game slate tonight, with eight of the games starting before 8 pm. We will want to look at all the games and pick a few to target. Scoring will be widespread today, and we will not have to focus on just one or two games. As I do with large slates, I will list the games you should target and some players to target from those games. I will give you my top three plays of the night, and my super sleeper special of the evening. With that said, let's start a Breakaway and put one blocker side and win some money.
Claude Giroux - Center - (7000 FD / 6400 DK) - Claude and his Flyers are favored to win their matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes. For that to happen, Claude will have to lead this team to victory. He has not scored a goal yet this season but does have five assists. In his career against the Canes, Claude has 26 points (seven goals / 19 assists), of those points he has 11 power play points and three short-handed points. I can see Claude setting the tone in the game and being a huge factor in the scoring.
Paul Stastny - Center - (5600 FD / 5100 DK) - Paul and his Blues travel to Calgary for a late game against the Flames. Paul is the Blues second line center and top power play unit center. He has accumulated Six points this season so far (two goals / four assists), and in 46 career games against the Flames, Paul has 54 points (22 goals / 32 assists) with 22 of those points coming on the power play. This game will be chippy, and I can see the Blues on the power play at least five times if not more. Paul will be the center of the scoring tonight and should get a Goal and two assists.
Alexsander Barkov - Center - (6900 FD / 6200 DK) - Alexsander is a shooting machine on the ice. He is the Panthers top line center and top power play unit center. He has five points (two goals / three assists) at home this season already, and tonight he will add to that total. Although he only has four career games against the Avalanche he has the kind of speed they will have problems controlling. Alexsander will move one step closer to being the leader of this team tonight when he scores two goals and gets two assists tonight.
If you have been reading my write-ups, you will notice that my super sleepers have been on fire this year. Yesterday I was not able to hit on my sleeper, but for the season as a whole, I have been spot on. Who is tonight's Super Sleeper pick? Wel….
Antoine Roussel - Wing - (4100 FD / 3700 DK) - Why am I picking him as my super sleeper? The Stars get the Blue Jackets at home and will light them up. The Blue Jackets have given up 11 goals this season, and all 11 have come from the wing position. Antoine has two goals and two assists in his young career against the Jackets, and tonight he will be the one that scores the first goal. He is a second line winger, and his line will see most of the ice time tonight. Expect him to score at least one goal, if not two, and have two assists. His line is in play tonight.
Games to target
As I had mentioned above, on large slates I pick a few games you will want to target for the bulk of your lineups. These are the games I will be targeting as well. I will give you players from each game to consider using and will highlight the players I will be using in my cash games.
Carolina (+127) vs. Philadelphia (-140)
Wayne Simmonds - Wing - (6900 FD / 6200 DK) - Pair with Giroux

Shayne Gostisbehere - Defense - (5500 FD / 5900 DK) - His price has dropped, and he is a stout play.
Matt Read - Wing - (4300 FD / 4100 DK) - Three game scoring streak. Four goals in last three games.
Victor Rask - Center - (5100 FD / 5300 DK)
Jordan Staal - Center - (5400 FD / 5100 DK)

John Klingberg - Defense - (5100 FD / 5700 DK) - Too cheap on FD for a high output defensive player.
Devin Shore - Center - (3800 FD / 3000 DK)
Brandon Dubinsky - Center - (4700 FD / 4800 DK) - Way too cheap for his production
Cam Atkinson - Wing - (6300 FD / 5300 DK) - Nice pair with Dubinsky
Alexander Wennberg - Center - (4700 FD / 3800 DK)
Pittsburgh (-102) vs. Nashville (-108)
Patric Hornqvist - Wing - (7000 FD / 5600 DK) - Priced way too low on DK. Nash second worst team against the wing position this season.
Matt Cullen - Center - (4200 FD / 3500 DK) - Pairing with Hornqvist. Cheap exposure to a productive line.
Evgeni Malkin - Center - (8100 FD / 6800 DK) - Don't understand DK pricing for this game.
Phil Kessel - Wing - (6900 FD / 6100 DK)
Carl Hagelin - Wing - (4800 FD / 4000 DK)
James Neal - Wing - (6700 FD / 5900 DK) - Ex-Pen, and he wants revenge
Calle Jarnkrok - Wing - (3800 FD / 3400 DK) - First line wing, cheap exposure
Mike Ribeiro - Center - (3900 FD / 3600 DK) - Check lines, might center first line tonight
Filip Forsberg - Wing - (7000 FD / 6300 DK)
Colorado (+122) vs. Florida (-135)
Jonathan Marchessault - Wing - (4500 FD / 4300 DK) - Top line wing, pair with Barkov
Vincent Trocheck - Center - (6100 FD / 4900 DK) - Low priced on DK, love his line
Reilly Smith - Wing - (5300 FD / 4000 DK) - Pair with Trocheck
Jaromir Jagr - Wing - (5800 FD / 5000 DK) - Top line wing. Nice cheap gpp stack
Aaron Ekblad - Defense - (4900 FD / 4200 DK) - So cheap for a top end defensive player
Gabriel Landeskog - Wing - (6100 FD / 5400 DK) - Guy is on fire
Nathan Mackinnon - Wing (FD) Center (DK) - (6700 FD / 6500 DK)
Carl Soderberg - Center - (5100 FD / 4400 DK)
Francois Beauchemin - Defense - (3900 FD / 4900 DK) A steal on FD, guy is a shot blocking machine.
Standalone Players to consider
Steven Stamkos - Center - (8200 FD / 7600 DK)
Patrice Bergeron - Center - (6400 FD / 7100 DK)
Evgeny Kuznetsov - Center - (6300 FD / 6200 DK)
Auston Matthews - Center - (6200 FD / 6600 DK)
Vladimir Tarasenko - Wing - (7900 FD / 7700 DK)
Artemi Panarin - Wing - (6700 FD / 6600 DK)
Mats Zuccarello - Wing - (5700 FD / 6000 DK)
Bret Burns - Defense - (8200 FD / 8000 DK)
Mike Giordano - Defense - (6800 FD / 6500 DK)
Zach Werenski - Defense - (4300 FD / 4800 DK)
**As always please check through the day to make sure your goalie is starting**
Ben Bishop - (8900 FD / 8000 DK) - In his career against the Senators Bishop is 9-0-3 with 2.02 goals against average and a .933 save percentage. I like him to come in play the best game of the season. He should be considered as one of the top goalie plays.
Jimmy Howard - (8100 FD / 7400 DK) - Jimmy was spectacular in his first game of the season. He gets a Sharks team that gave up a two-goal lead to the Penguins in their last game. Howard will steal this game tonight, and his price is fair on both sites.
Scott Darling - (8400 FD / 8100 DK) - Scott should get the start considering Crawford started the last game, and looked bad. He has two career games against the Maple Leafs and won both, holding a 1.51 goals against average and a .955 save percentage. His ownership should be low on this large slate.
High Risk High Reward Goalie
Jake Allen - (8500 FD / 7700 DK) - Jake has two career wins against the Flames and no losses. His upside is, if he starts off strong, he can shut down a team, plus he will be going against his former teammate in Brian Elliott. The downside is that in his two wins, he gave up seven goals, and has given up at least two goals in every game he has played this season. He is a GPP play, as his ownership will be very low.
Favorite Line Stack: Antoine Roussel - Radek Faska - Jason Spezza
Outside the box stat to consider
Yesterday I gave you the stat that the Blue Jackets are horrible against the wing position and told you to play Chicago wingers. Both goals scored by the Blackhawks came from wingers.
Today I give you the Nashville Predators: The Predators rank second worse in the NHL at stopping opposing team's wingers. 75-percent of the goals scored against the Preds this season has come to the wing position. Consider the Penguins wing position tonight in all formats. You can even use a stand alone player from the Penguins at the wing position.
