Here we go again folks, a huge NHL slate today, and on election night at that. I love the NHL and the way they set their schedules. This is a fun slate with some very good matched teams, and the best part is the last game of the night starts at 9 pm. This makes it much easier to set your lineups and not worry about sneaking in a player that starts at 10:30 pm. With that said, let’s stuff the Ballot box and pick a winner.

Cappy's Cappers

Matt Duchene - Center - ($6800 FD / $6500 DK) - Duchene and his Avalanche host the Arizona Coyotes this evening. Matt has three goals and two assists in his last five games and is averaging around three shots per game. In 23 career games against the Coyotes, Matt has 11 goals and seven assists, and I can see him adding two more goals to that total tonight. The Avs are a few games away from starting a run, and it will be tonight that they take that first step.

Blake Wheeler - Wing - ($6900 FD / $6500 DK) - Wheeler and his Jets team host the Dallas Stars tonight, and I can see everyone being off the Jets and on the Stars. The Jets are a very tough team to beat at home and Wheeler is due to get on the goal scoring sheet again. His price has come down, and this is the perfect time to strike. I can see him and his line factoring into two goals tonight, and for him to get a power play goal as well.

William Nylander - Wing - ($5000 FD / $6200 DK) - In 12 games this season Nylander has four goals and eight assists and is averaging four shots on net. His play has been overshadowed by the allure of Auston Matthews and the breakout of Mitch Marner, but tonight Nylander overshadows them all. I love the fact that he is fearless and will go hard at the net and take hits. I can see him being all over the stats categories tonight, getting you a goal, an assist, two blocked shots and three shots on goal. He should score you a ton of points, and be very low owned while doing it.

Cappy's Super Sleeper

P.A. Parenteau - Wing - ($4600 FD / $3900 DK) - The thing about PA is that he goes silent then all the sudden he hits the scoresheet in a big way. He has four goals and an assist this season, and tonight he will add to his goal total. He and his Devils host the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Canes have a very big problem stopping the wing position. Especially the Right Wing position. P.A. will be less the 3% owned and all he needs to do is take three shot and get one assist, and he will hit 3x value. I will have good exposure to him and his teammates.

Games To Target

I will point out a few games you will want to target when building your core lines. This is not to say, you will want to make all your plays from these games, but your core should come from at least one of them.

Arizona (+144) vs. Colorado (-165)

Nathan MacKinnon - Center -($6000 FD / $6300 DK) - Pair with Duchene. Listed as a center but plays wing, util position on DK.

Gabriel Landeskog - Wing - ($5600 FD / $5400 DK) -

Carl Soderberg - Center - ($4300 FD / $4300 DK) - Second line center

Jarome Iginla - Wing - ($4400 FD / $4300 DK) - Sneaky play that makes it on score sheet

Rene Bourque - Wing - ($3100 FD / $2700 DK) - Can fly on the ice, very cheap

Francois Beauchemin - Defense - ($3600 FD / $4500 DK) - Blocks a ton of shots and gets assists

Tyson Barrie - Defense - ($4900 FD / $4800 DK) - Power play monster

Max Domi - Wing - ($5100 FD / $4500 DK) - Top line wing

Radim Vrbata - Wing - ($4400 FD / $4500 DK) - Pair with Domi

Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Defense- ($6400 FD / $5900 DK) - Leading scorer on coyotes

Vancouver (+248) vs. New York Rangers (-280)

Derek Stepan - Center - ($5600 FD / $5900 DK) - Top line center, pair with Vesey and/or Nash

Jimmy Vesey - Wing - ($4900 FD / $5400 DK) - Price too low on FD. Use him.

Rick Nash - Wing - ($6500 FD / $6800 DK) - Pair with Stephan and/or Vesey

Kevin Hayes - Center - ($4700 FD / $4100 DK) - His line has been heating up

J.T. Miller - Wing - ($5000 FD / $5300 DK) - Pair with Hayes

Mats Zuccarello - Wing - ($5700 FD / $6700 DK) - Second line wing, great play

Chris Kreider - Wing - ($6200 FD / $6800 DK) - Pair with Zuccarello

Ryan McDonagh - Defense -($5000 FD / $5600 DK) - Top power play defensive player and blocks shots.

Dan Girardi - Defense - ($3800 FD / $3400 DK) - Top defensive pairing, great one off from McDonagh.

***I don't like any Canucks players tonight. New York favored to win huge, and I can see the Canucks getting shut out on the back end of a back to back***

These are the two games I will be targeting when building my core players. I will list a few teams below you can look at to build the rest of your team from.

Pittsburgh Penguins - Top line of Hornqvist - Crosby - Wilson in play

Philadelphia Flyers - Top line and second line in play, and Gostisbehere on defense

Toronto Maple Leafs - Matthews line and Kadri line in play.

New Jersey Devils - Top line with Hall in play

Goalies

**As always check before puck drop to see starting goalies, as things change**

Henrik Lundqvist - ($9100 FD / $8700 DK) - King Henry should be the top play in net tonight. With the game's total being an over/under of 5, I am assuming the Rangers will score 4 of those 5 goals if not all 5. Lundqvist has a great shot at the shutout tonight and might see close to 34 shots on net. I will have the most exposure to him in my lineups. He is very cash game safe, and even GPP safe.

Craig Anderson - ($8800 FD / $7600 DK) - Craig has been on fire as of late. He is giving up less than one goal a game in his last four games. Craigs is 6-2 this season and has won three out of his last four, with two of the wins coming the way of a shutout. He gets a Nashville team that is having problems winning games and putting together a good game. I like him tonight in both cash and gpp play and will have some exposure to him.

Calvin Pickard - ($8300 FD / $7400 DK) - Calvin comes into this contest against the Coyotes sports a 3-0-0 record with a 1.50 goals against average and a .946 save percentage. He is making it tough for the Avs to settle on a number one goalie as he shows up every night he starts. His last start against the Minnesota Wild he had a 32 save shutout and the Wild have a lot more firepower than the Coyotes do. He will be popular tonight, but he is well worth into your lineups.
