Surprise #ScoutArmy, I am making a rare sunday appearance for Scouting The NHL. My good friend Kickman had some other items to take care of today, so I am stepping in to offer you guys my sunday funday insights to all things NHL DFS. This writeup will focus on the main slate, which is only four games. There is a early game today, but I am not including that in this writeup. I love small slates in the fact, that a cash game lineup, can also hit in a GPP as well. Let us make a glove save and lock down the win.
Vincent Trocheck - Center - ($5700 FD / $5500 DK) - I am going to the well again, and making Trocheck a Cappy's Capper two days in a row. He ended up producing for us yesterday to the tune of, 16 points on FanDuel. He had an assist, three shots on net, and two blocked shots. He will double that tonight as the Panthers head to New York to play the Rangers on the second half of a back to back. Everyone will be on Jagrs line, but this game will be all Trocheck and his line.
Mark Scheifele - Center - ($7800 FD / $7300 DK) - Scheifele and his Jets, head to Carolina to take on a haphazard Hurricanes team that is a wreck on the defensive side of the puck. Scheifele already has 10 goals and 12 assists this season, and should add to that total tonight. Check the lines though, as the Jets have been playing tic-tac-toe with their lines. I will have 100% exposure to Scheifele and his linemates in both cash and gpp games.
Michael Frolik - Wing - ($5000 FD / $4800 DK) - Frolik and his Flames head to Joe Louis Arena to take on the Detroit Red Wings this evening. A lot of people have given up on the Flames this season, but with them losing their top player in Johnny Gaudreau, the team has stepped up to fill in the void. In his first game without Johnny Hockey, Frolik had a goal and an assist with three shots on goal and a blocked shot. He will score a hat trick tonight, that is right, a hat trick on the Red Wings in Joe Louis Arena. I will have both sides of this game in various lineups, but I love the Flames side the most.
Cappy's Super Sleeper
Teuvo Teravainen - Wing - ($3700 FD / $3800 DK) - Teravainen started the season very silent, but has recently been filling up the score sheet. He has three goals and three assists in his last four games, and will add to the total tonight. He is a young, speedy player that came to the Hurricanes from the Blackhawks during the offseason. He is part of the youth injection the Canes are building with. I will have a nice amount of exposure to him this evening and his linemates, as I think he gets a goal, and assists and five shots on net.
Games To Target
I will be listing the teams you want to target in this slate with a little info on each team. This is a fast write up, as this was a last minute request, and it is sunday and I am working on things around the house before football starts. I.E. Honey Do list...
Winnipeg Jets - As I mentioned above, you will want to check on their lines prior to game start, but I will be all over this team. I love their top two lines, and am willing to use their 3rd line in a MME GPP. As always Byfuglin is in play on defense, and Enstrom is worth a flier on defense as well.
Florida Panthers - The Panthers do have a fast turn around, but I think it benefits them more than it hurts them. As I said above, most will be on the top line for the Panthers, but I think it is the Trocheck line that will do the scoring, and they will be low owned. Yandel worked out well last night, so ride that gravy train on defense.
Anaheim Ducks - The Ducks are the one team that it is hard to decide where their scoring will come from. The are taking on a Kings team that is still without their top stars. The Kings have pulled out a few wins here and there, but I don't foresee it lasting. The Ducks top three lines are in play, top line in Cash games. Also love Fowler and Lindholm on defense
Carolina Hurricanes - I think this is going to be the highest scoring game of the night, and you should consider a two player stack from both teams in your cash games. The top line of the canes is in play as is the Tarvainen line with Aho. Stacks on Stacks on Stacks.
**As always check before puck drop to see starting goalies, as things change**
I will list a few goalies and if you want them in cash, gpp, or both.
John Gibson - Cash/GPP
Chad Johnson - GPP
James Reimer - GPP
Henrik Lundqvist - Cash/GPP
