Kansas City Chiefs co-offensive coordinator Brad Childress says defenses have been devising game plans this season to stop Alex Smith from taking off outside of the pocket. "I think they've done a nice job of closing up some of those rush lanes," Childress said. "In a couple of cases, there's been somebody standing on the other side accounting for him … we haven't seen as many of those giant creases." Head coach Andy Reid is not worried about Smith’s recent struggles. "I think Alex is OK," Reid said. Christine Michael says he’s learned the playbook well enough and is now ready to contribute to the Green Bay Packers. "I feel like I can contribute a lot, man," Michael said. "I'm in my playbook every day. I feel comfortable with the plays that I got out there [in practice]. Just learning from the guys in front of me."

An over eager Ian Rapoport initially said there was a complete tear and his season was all but over, however, once again his report was premature, and there is a chance Green could miss just two or three games with a hamstring strain … Jeremy Maclin has once again been ruled out for Week 12 … Travis Benjamin is expected to return to action this week after a full week of practice … There is a chance Sammy Watkins returns this week, however, he will likely be very limited. The team is also "hopeful" Percy Harvin will be able to play through an illness. Robert Woods has been ruled out … Michael Floyd will be a gametime decision for the Arizona Cardinals this week … According to Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, Bryce Treggs is “in position to contribute more” moving forward. Pederson also said Nelson Agholor’s role could be reduced … Terrelle Pryor says he would “love” to re-sign with the Browns this offseason … Kevin White has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the season.
