Prescription Notes From Week 14

Dr. Roto discusses the biggest takeaways from the NFL in Week 14 to help Fantasy owners still alive moving forward!

Prescription Notes From Week 14

— It was sad to see Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill leave the game with what looks like a torn ACL. Tannehill was finally stepping up this season and looked comfortable in Adam Gase’s offense. Matt Moore will take over for Tannehill and luckily is a veteran QB who is not afraid to throw downfield.

— I am absolutely worried about Lions QB Matthew Stafford's middle finger. I might just flip him off my roster next week for a safer option.

— If Rex Ryan thinks his problem is QB Tyrod Taylor, he is out of his mind. Taylor and McCoy have carried the Bills’ offense all year. In fact, I would sign Taylor to a contract extension ASAP and fire Rex while I was at it.

— When the Jets went down 14-0 in the first quarter, I thought that the 49ers were going to win in a blowout, but kudos to HC Todd Bowles and QB Bryce Petty who never gave up. Also, RB Bilal Powell made a terrific heads-up play in overtime to win the game. I like Robby Anderson and Powell moving forward as the Jets decide who to keep for 2017 and beyond.

— Let's just finally admit that RG3 is not the answer for the Browns' QB situation. I am ready to see Cody Kessler again as starter — at least he has potential.

— Redskins QB Kirk Cousins barely had the ball, but he still threw for 230 yards and two TDs. He is legitimately a top 6 Fantasy QB next season.

— DeSean Jackson’s 80 yd TD reception guaranteed himself a contract next year -- with the Philadelphia Eagles.

— The Giants defense played exceptionally well on Sunday night, but the offense is lagging badly. The Giants need to get Paul Perkins on the field more. He has a burst that Rashad Jennings clearly lacks.

— It's mind-boggling to think that Tampa Bay has won five games in a row and their star WR Mike Evans has done very little over the past couple of weeks. Their defense has stepped up and is playable in both seasonal and DFS.

— The Los Angeles Rams are hard to watch. QB Jared Goff truly is not ready to be a pro QB and RB Todd Gurley can barely find any room to run. They are in desperate need of OL help this offseason.

— I love the Ty Montgomery experiment at RB. In fact, I think he should move there permanently in the offseason. Can you think of a better third-down back?
