In a strange twist of events, the Scout Army gets me today. Kick had some things he needed to take care of, So Mr. Pucks is stepping in. Here we go with a nice big ten game slate in the NHL. There are some obvious choices to target, and a few under the radar games. We need to dredge through 400 possible players to build some winning line-ups.

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

I was asked if these are three players people should use. What I suggest is building around at least one of my three choices. Let us take a look at my top three.

Evgeni Malkin (Pit) - Center - ($7400 DK / $8500 FD) - With all the attention Crosby is getting, Geno is being overlooked. In his last 13 games, he has 20 points (Six goals / 14 assists), couple that with at least one point in 11 of his last 13 games. While the world will flock to Crosby and his road skills, I'm going to focus on Geno and his overall skills. In his 14 games against the Blue Jackets, Geno has nine goals (five on the power play),  ten assists and a 20.9 shooting percentage. I am all in!

Rickard Rakell (Ana) - Wing - ($6400 DK / $6000 FD) - Rakell will be looking to start up another scoring streak when his Ducks head into Ottawa to take on the Senators. With 21 points in 23 games this season, he is slowly becoming one of the Ducks lethal weapons. In his last outing against the Sens, he had a power-play assist while taking three shots on net. Tonight I see another assist with a goal and five shots on net.

Vladimir Tarasenko  (Stl) - Wing - ($7900 DK / $8800 FD) - I am dipping back into the Vlad well. After the Lightning had announced the loss of Ben Bishop to a groin injury, all the Blues players got a Huge Boost. The Stars kept Vlad off the scoresheet in his last game, but Tampa won't do the same. In seven career games against Tampa, he has six goals and two assists. In his last game alone against the Bolts, Vlad netted a Hattrick with an assist to boot on four shots on net. A 75% shooting percentage, yes, please. Two goals are highly possible for him, and I will have him in all my lineups.

Mr. Pucks Sleeper Play of the Night

Bo Horvat (Van) - Center - ($4500 DK / $5000 FD) - Horvat is on a team, The Canucks, that DFS wise no one ever targets. He is currently on a four-game point streak where he has two goals and three assists. On a night with so many high-end guys to choose from, Horvat can put you over the top. I expect his ownership to be under 3%. He extends his streak with a multi-point night. A goal, an assists and three shots on net. Easily exceeding value.

Teams To Target

A few teams to target and build your lineups around.

St. Louis Blues - As I mentioned above, the Blues got a huge boost with Bishop out. Pairing Tarasenko with either Fabbri or Lehtera in cash games has huge upside, all three in a gpp. If Jaskin is in, he is a cheap top line winger that will pay off big time. If he isn't, and Yakupov is back, take him with a top line stack. I love Parayko on defense for the Blues as well as Shattenkirk.

Anaheim Ducks - The Ducks are starting to make noise and starting to gel as a team. I mentioned in my last write-up, when the Ducks played, Target the line of Cogliano-Kesler-Silfverberg. They have been one of the top scoring lines in the last ten games. Also Rakell-Getzlaf-Perry is a top choice, albeit an expensive one. If you want to get cheeky, Shot for a Ritchie-Vermette two player stack. Defensively speaking, Cam Fowler is the man, and I'm willing to bet Lindholm has a monster game.

Pittsburgh Penguins - I kind of think this game will be closer than most expect. The Pens dropped seven goals against the Rangers in their last game. I will only target their top two lines, leaning more towards Malkin's line. Rust is a cheap option at wing if he starts on Crosby's line again. I like Cole and Schultz on the defensive side of the puck.

Philadelphia Flyers - I know, I know they are on a back-to-back, but that doesn't worry me. They are playing the Devils, and that don't scare me. It's almost a home game for them. I like the Giroux line, and also would consider the Schenn line, because the Devils have one of the worst defensive pairings in the NHL in Moore/Quincey. I think Provorov and Gudas get in on the scoring, and if you want a punt, Manning is cheap and a shot blocking robot.

Buffalo Sabres/ Carolina Hurricanes - I like both sides of this game. For Buffalo, the Eichel line is a top choice, along with the O'Rielly line. Defensively only one player need be named, Ristolainen, I would even use him as a standalone. For Carolina, I am targeting the Rask line, and also the Teravainen line. Defensively speaking, I only care about Justin Faulk. Also Consider - Minnesota top line, Winnipeg top line, Columbus top two lines, Florida's Jagr only cause he can move up the all time points board, Boston top two lines and Carlo/Chara on Defense.
