Dr. Roto's Week 16 DFS Stacks & Plays

I have decided to do this week’s write-up differently. Hopefully, you like it as I think it will help people learn to set their lineups better.

Stacks (with corollary plays)

Tom Brady / Martellus Bennett / Bilal Powell

I expect Brady to throw for 300 yards and 4 TDs against the Jets. I also like Bennett’s price point and expect that he will resurface after being quiet for the past few weeks.

Alternate Play: Malcolm Mitchell (Brady’s new favorite red zone target)

Drew Brees / Brandin Cooks / Mike Evans

My DFS axiom states that you must play Brees and Cooks at home. They might be a bit over owned after last week’s amazing game, but they still are a premiere hookup in what should be a high-scoring affair.

Alternate Play: Mark Ingram (Great value and running hard)

Matt Ryan / Julio Jones / Greg Olsen

Vegas thinks this game is going to be high-scoring and I agree. Jones may be somewhat lower owned after returning from injury, and I am just fine with that. Olsen is trying to reach 1000 yards for the 3rd straight year, so he will continue to play hard and Atlanta struggles vs. TE.

Andrew Luck / T.Y. Hilton / Amari Cooper

Hilton might be my favorite play of the week. No one on the Raiders can match his speed and quickness. As for Cooper, he will have a rebound for sure after last week’s debacle.

Jameis Winston / Mike Evans / Michael Thomas

Same idea as the Brees stack but you get to save a few dollars by using Jameis and Thomas.

Alternate Plays for Bucs exposure: Cameron Brate (a huge red zone target)

Matt Barkley / Alshon Jeffrey / DeSean Jackson

I LOVE stacking two guys who are playing for paychecks next season. Jeffrey and DJax will be one-upping each other all day in a game where the defense will go out the window.

Alternate Play: Jordan Howard (if J-Stew can run for 132 yards against the Redskins, can you imagine what Howard will do?!)

Blake Bortles / Allen Robinson / Rishard Matthews

This stack is not for the faint of heart but both Bortles and Robinson are at extremely low price points, and they have a great matchup against the pathetic Titans pass defense.

Alternate Play: Delanie Walker (He has disappeared recently, but he is too good to continue in this rut)

Standalone Plays

Todd Gurley — Faces the SF awful run defense

Jay Ajayi — Might be a week where he goes for 150 yards rushing

Kenneth Farrow — Only to be used if Gordon is out

Ty Montgomery — Think he catches 5-6 passes out of the backfield

Latavius Murray — Undervalued and underappreciated

Emmanuel Sanders — Killed Denver last time they played

DeAndre Hopkins — Looked fantastic last week when Savage came in

Eli Rogers — Green is most likely out, and Ben will need another target if Antonio Brown gets double covered

Hunter Henry — Cleveland is the worst team in the NFL vs. TE. The Gates story is a great narrative but Henry is the better player
