The Secret Stars weekly article isn't suggesting the lineup you should use this week, rather its purpose is to identify players who represent extreme value at their current salaries for the week. Selecting these players will give you an opportunity to use the high-priced players you want in your lineups. This is a very tough week and playing time for many players is questionable so make sure you follow the news up until kickoff on Sunday. Having the most information will be important, so this an early look at the week with many things subject to change. Here are our Secret Stars for Week 17:

http://www.scout.com/player/125948-blake-bortles?s=532

QB BLAKE BORTLES $5,600 @ IND

A lot of value will open up this week, especially at running back, and since you know certain top-tier quarterbacks are playing for something significant it makes sense to pay up at quarterback. If you decide to go cheap, Bortles is an option. He went 26-for-38 for 325 yards with a touchdown last week against the Titans for 29.7 DraftKings points. He gets another good matchup against the Colts, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, including ten games with multiple touchdown passes.

http://www.scout.com/player/164884-alex-collins?s=532

RB ALEX COLLINS $4,600 @ SF

Collins is a play if Thomas Rawls is out. Rawls left last week's game with a shoulder injury, and the Seahawks worked out several running backs on Tuesday. Collins is in line to get a big workload. He had seven carries for 28 yards and four catches for 19 yards on four targets. The 49ers have been gashed by the run all season, allowing the most fantasy points to running backs. They have allowed nine rushing touchdowns the last four games and 23 on the season.

http://www.scout.com/player/172313-devontae-booker?s=532

RB DEVONTAE BOOKER $3,500 vs. OAK

With the Broncos eliminated from playoff contention, it makes sense for the Broncos to evaluate their younger talent and give Booker a big workload. There's no point in giving touches to Justin Forsett. Booker hasn't been impressive, but he could see 15-20 touches. Booker had five carries for 27 yards and caught six passes for 44 yards on ten targets.

http://www.scout.com/player/187709-jerick-mckinnon?s=532

RB JERICK MCKINNON $4,000 vs. CHI

McKinnon has 25 catches over the last four games. He is heavily involved in the passing game and provides a high floor. He has at least 12.9 DraftKings points in four straight games. The Bears have allowed at least 100 yards rushing to running backs in five of the last six games, including 178 yards last week against the Redskins.

http://www.scout.com/player/20178-steve-smith?s=532

WR STEVE SMITH $4,900 @ CIN

Smith announced he would retire after this game. The Ravens have nothing to play for and will likely feed Smith the football. Smith looked real good last week, catching all seven targets for 79 yards and a touchdown. Expect a lot of targets for Smith.

http://www.scout.com/player/136313-jamarcus-nelson?s=532

WR J.J. NELSON $4,600 @ LAR

Nelson has at least 11.2 DraftKings points in four straight games. He has 18 targets over the last two games and has scored in four straight games. Nelson is explosive and can score on any play.

Here's our lineup this week:

QB Aaron Rodgers $7,700 @ DET

RB David Johnson $9,800 @ LAR

RB Alex Collins $4,600 @ SF

WR Michael Thomas $6,700 @ ATL

WR J.J. Nelson $4,600 @ LAR

WR Steve Smith $4,900 @ CIN

TE Travis Kelce $5,000 @ SD

FLEX Devontae Booker $3,500 vs. OAK

D/ST PATRIOTS $3,200 @ MIA
