Eli Manning will play for the New York Giants this week … According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the starting point to even get the New England Patriots to listen to trade offers for Jimmy Garoppolo is a first and fourth-round pick. "I don’t even know if they would do it then," Schefter added. "My own sense on Garoppolo is that they are going to explore that market. That they are going to listen. They are going to see what is out there and if some team steps forward and makes it such that they have to trade him they will, but they are just not going to look to give him away. That is not going to happen." … Ben Roethlisberger is not expected to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 17 … Marcus Mariota suffered a fractured fibula/ankle which will require surgery. Regardless of Ajayi’s health, Dolphins offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen wants to get Kenyan Drake more involved moving forward. "He's gotten more consistent," Christensen said. It's kind of a good problem to have."  … Adrian Peterson has officially been ruled out for this weekend’s game … Jeremy Hill is very questionable for the Cincinnati Bengals final game of the year. The team has already signed Tra Carson off their practice squad … With Ryan Mathews done for the season, the Philadelphia Eagles have promoted Terrell Watson from their practice squad.
