Scouting The NHL DFS - Saturday, January 14

Cash on DraftKings and FanDuel with Cappy's NHL DFS Rundown!

What an amazingly good run the #ScoutArmy had this week. Kickman and I’s articles have been on target and helping our members have an amazing ROI. It's tweets like the one below that make our job amazing.

Tonight we have a large ten game slate. I will do my best in helping you pick a winning lineup from all the skaters we have available. Time to pick our all-star team and win some money.

Mr. Pucks’ Profound Three

I was asked if these are three players people should use. What I suggest is building around at least one of my three choices. Let us take a look at my top three.

Charlie Coyle (Min) - Wing - ($6100 FD /$5700 DK)

Coyle is like a third wheel. He seems to be forgotten in DFS lineups, but all he does is produce. With 13 goals and 20 assists so far this season he is a force. He and his Wild head to Dallas to take on the Stars and their 28th ranked defense. I expect a goal and a power-play assist with five shots on net.

Logan Couture (SJ) - Center - ($6800 FD / $6200 DK)

It has been an up and down season for Logan, and at the moment he is on the upswing. He has three goals in his last five and should continue that tonight. I feel he will walk through the Blues defense and score two goals and take four shots.

Corey Perry (Ana) - Wing - ($6700 FD/$6400 DK)

Perry has been playing below expectations this season with only eight goals. He should turn the corner tonight and score for us big time. He will be facing a Coyotes team that will most likely feature Louis Domingue in net. Perry will feast on him and score a goal with three assists and four shots.

Mr. Pucks’ Sleeper play of the night

Cal Clutterbuck (NYI) - Wing - ($3600 FD / $3700 DK)

This play is a pure gut feel. People will overlook Cal, but I think he is a viable option. He is low cost and plays in the Islanders second line. He can score a goal, but I'm looking for some assists and his usual two shots on goal.

Teams To Target

A few teams to target and build your lineups around.

Pittsburgh Penguins -  I like Sid's line and really like Malkin's line against Detroit. Letang and Schultz on defense.

Minnesota Wild - The top 2 lines are all the offense we need against the Coyotes. Love all their defenders, but Suter and Dumba are my two favorites.

San Jose Sharks - Their top two lines should factor in most the offense. Burns is great on defense, if you can afford him, go with Martin.

Anaheim Ducks - Top 2 lines are great plays. Fowler is great on defense.

Columbus Blue Jackets - Any of the top three lines can dominate this game. Werenski and Jones are great defensive plays.

New York Islanders - I think they will be low owned. Great GPP team. Top two lines are great plays. Leddy on defense. Also like De Haan and Seidenberg.

Also consider Carolina 3rd line, Cgy top line, Tor top two lines.

**As always check before puck drop to see starting goalies, as things change**

I will list a few goalies and if you want them in cash, gpp, or both.

Dubnyk - Cash/GPP

Jones - Cash/GPP

Gibson - Cash/GPP

Lundqvist - GPP

Griess - GPP
