Now that the NFL DFS season has come to an end, it is time for you to increase your bankroll in NHL DFS. Our picks have been on point, and we're hoping for continued success this week. I will give you my top three plays, a sleeper pick, point out some teams and lines you will want to consider, and my top goalie plays of the night. Couple this with advice on our NHL Slack channel, and you will be on your way. So let's jump in.

Mr. Pucks' Profound Three

These are my favorite three players of the night. I am not saying to play all three in one lineup, but I would suggest you build your lineup around at least one of them.

Jonathan Marchessault (FLA) – Wing – ($5,500 FD / $5,000 DK)

Marchessault and his Panthers head into Arizona to take on a Coyotes team that is starting to frustrate some DFS players. Marchessault was on fire to open this season but then an injury slowed him down a bit. He has two assists in his last two games and is averaging 2.5 shots per game over that span. He sees time on the Florida's power play unit, and tonight he will rip into the Coyotes' lack of defense and put on of his five shots on goal in the back of the net. I expect him to return to his early season form, and this game will be the stepping stone.

Alex Ovechkin (Was) – Wing – ($8,900 FD / $8,300 DK)

Ovechkin has not dissapointed much at all this season in the terms of DFS play. He is currently on a seven-game scoring streak with four goals and eight assists in that time frame. Tonight, his Capitals host a Hurricanes team that has been building momentum as of recently. In 67 career games, Ovie has 77 points (32 goals / 45 asssits) against the Canes. I can not see why he will not add to that total tonight. He could very well score two goals and get an assist while registering six shots on net. 10 of his 32 goals against the Canes came on the Power Play, and one of his two tonight will as well. Fire him up and watch him exceed value.

Auston Matthews (Tor) – Center – ($7,700 FD / $7,500 DK)

Matthews has not dissapointed this season as the number one overall draft pick. In his first NHL season, he has 22 goals and 16 assists with an average of 3.5 shots per game. Tonight he and his Maple Leafs host the Calgary Flames. Matthews should impress tonight as the spotlight has been taken off him a bit, allowing him to relax and just play hockey. Tonight he will have a highlight reel style game. He can easily score a hat-trick and get us a ton of points. Put him in your lineups and watch him shine.

Mr. Pucks’ Sleeper play of the night

This play is a guy that I feel will be low-owned (under 4%), and will produce. Sometimes he will be a very low-priced play, or someone that I feel will break out of a slump regardless of cost. This is a risky pick, meaning you should use him with caution or as a cap relief play with possible upside.

Joonas Donskoi (SJ) – Wing – ($4,100 FD / $3,700 DK)

Donskoi is one of my favorite under-the-radar plays. He just recently returned from a stint on the IR with an upper body injury. Tonight he and his teammates head into Colorado to take on an Avs team that is ranked dead last in stopping the Wing position. I can see Donskoi getting on track tonight with a goal. Just scoring one goal will put him near 3x value. I expect a possible goal and three shots on net. He is very good cheap exposure to what will likely be a high scoring game.

Teams To Target

I will point out some teams you will want to consider when building your DFS lineups. Again these are just my suggestions. If your gut is telling you something different, then go with your gut.

Florida Panthers – I really like the top line for the Panthers in cash and GPP. I would consider the second and third lines as well. Love Barkov and Yandle on defense.

Toronto Maple Leafs – Any of the top three lines are viable plays. Matthews will be my target line tonight. But the Kadri or Bozak line can also pay off. Really like Zaitsev on defense.

Washington Capitals – I think they will be chalky tonight, but I am all in on Ovie's line. Either of their top two lines are viable tonight. Not really big on any of their defenders for DFS output.

San Jose Sharks – I think the Sharks will be the Chalk tonight against a bad Avalanche team. The top two lines are full of fire power, and Donskoi’s line can pay off in a GPP with low ownership. Burns is stout on defense but expensive. Also like Vlasic and Martin on defense.

New York Rangers – The Rangers have scored 15 goals in their last three games, and should continue that tonight. I will focus on the Second line centered by Mika Zibanejad. The top line and third line will also be playable in a game where they might score five goals. McDonagh and Skeji (pronounced Shay), are great on defense.

Also Consider: Winnipeg Top Line, Arizona Top Line, LA Kings Second Line.

Goalies

Always check before lock to make sure your goalie is the confirmed starter. I will list some of my picks and if they are playable in Cash, GPP or Both.

Martin Jones – Cash/GPP

Braden Holtby – Cash/GPP

Magnus Hellberg (If starting) – GPP – My Sleeper pick.

Ondrej Pavelec – GPP

Roberto Louongo – GPP

Mike Smith – GPP
