Plays of the Day

Value: Channing Frye doesn't need many minutes to provide value especially at his price of $3,900 on DK. When he played 22 minutes against the Pistons on Thursday, he had 30.75 DK points. On March 4 against the Heat he played 23 minutes and had 32.5 points. Frye will be needed to keep up with the Rockets.

Fade: Jimmy Butler hasn't been lighting it up lately. In three of his last six games, Butler has been held to 35.5 DK points or fewer. Butler did have a good game the last time he faced Boston with 47 DK points, but with James Harden, LeBron James and better values at small forward on the slate, Butler is a fade.

Game Lines

  1. Phoenix Suns (+2) hosting Portland Trail Blazers (Over/Under = 232)
  2. Houston Rockets (-5) hosting Cleveland Cavaliers (Over/Under = 231)

Point Guards

D'Angelo Russell (LAL) vs. PHI DK:$7,400/FD:$6,900

Russell is more appealing on FanDuel and has a great matchup against a bad 76ers defense. Russell is finally getting consistent minutes and he's taking advantage. He has played at least 30 minutes in five straight, including at least 33 in four. He has at least 31 FD points in four of the last five and had 43.3 in his last game against the Suns and is underpriced on FD.

Damian Lillard (POR) vs. BRK DK:$9,000/FD:$9,000

Lillard is coming off an overtime game on Saturday night, but he played 36 minutes. He had 33 points with seven assists and three rebounds for 46.25 DK points. Lillard has at least 40 DK points in seven of his last eight games and the Suns have allowed the fourth most points to point guards. He has scored 38 and 27 points against the Suns this season and it will be a high-paced game.

Tyler Johnson ($5300/$5500) could be in store for more minutes and a bigger role in the offense if Goran Dragic is out. Keep an eye on the news to make sure the status of Dragic.

Jeremy Lin ($5200/$5500) has seen his minutes increase after being limited to 15-20 minutes initially following his return from a hamstring injury. Lin has played 24, 25 and 27 minutes over the last three games and has at least 30 DK points in three of the last four games. The matchup is great against the Knicks.

Shooting Guards

James Harden (HOU) vs. CLE DK:$11,800/FD:$11,700

The Cavaliers have been one of the worst teams at defending shooting guards and played Saturday night. The Rockets are favored by five points and have a team total of 118, the highest on the slate. The game should stay close enabling Harden to play big minutes and there will be extra motivation going up against LeBron James. The last time Harden faced the Cavaliers he had 41 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds.

Devin Booker (PHX) vs. POR DK:$6,600/FD:$6,200

Booker is hot right now and coming off one of his better games last night, shooting 12-for-20 from the field and scored 36 points with five rebounds and two assists for 45.75 DK points. He has at least 34 DK points in three straight and gets a poor Blazers defense that is also coming off an overtime game last night.

Courtney Lee ($4500/$5100) has been averaging more than 37 minutes the last three games and has at least 28 DK points in each game. Look for it to continue against the Nets.

Sean Kilpatrick ($5300/$4200) is a better play on FD due to price, but he has a great matchup and is coming off a dud. Kilpatrick had at least 29.9 FD points in three straight games before 19.9 in his last game against the Mavericks. He should have an easier time against the Knicks.

Small Forwards

LeBron James (CLE) @ HOU DK:$11,300/FD:$11,400

The Cavaliers are playing on the second day of a back-to-back and it would be surprising if James sat. This is one of the highest totals of the day in what will be a high-tempo game. James has three triple-doubles in the last five games, including two straight. The Cavaliers are asking him to do a lot with Kevin Love injured. James has at least 67 DK points in four straight.

T.J. Warren (PHO) vs. POR DK:$6,100/FD:$6,000

Warren has seen his minutes increase and he's playing very well. In his last six games, Warren is averaging 15.4 points, nine rebounds, two assists and 1.4 blocks per game. He's in one of the highest scoring games of the night and the matchup is favorable.

Brandon Ingram ($4900/$4200) is still to cheap on FD. He has played at least 35 minutes in three straight games, scoring at least 22.3 points in each of those games. Ingram is averaging 38 minutes over the last three games.

C.J. Miles ($4000/$4000) is reliant on his shot to produce, but if he gets hot he can get 5X. He has at least 21.25 DK points in four of his last five games.

Power Forwards

Kristaps Porzingis (NYK) @ BRK: DK:$6,900/FD:$6,400

Porzingis is healthy again and playing big minutes. He's too cheap based on his recent production. He has played at least 36 minutes in three of the last four games, including two games of at least 43 FD points. Porzingis had 18 points, six rebounds, six blocked shots and four assists in 36 minutes yesterday against the Pistons. He's in a good spot against the inept defense of the Nets.

Julius Randle (LAL) vs. PHI: DK:$7,300/FD:$6,700

The 76ers struggle against the interior and Randle is the main threat inside for the Lakers. Randle has a huge ceiling as we have seen a few time recently. Randle has a 55.5 and 66.75 point game in two of the last five games. Randle also has played at least 32 minutes in four of the last five games. Randle had 45 DK points in the first matchup with the 76ers.

Channing Frye ($3900/$4400) will be needed against the Rockets with Kyle Korver out. This pace will fit his style and he will have to launch a lot of three-pointers.

Trevor Booker ($5000/$5400) is coming off the bench and is usually in the 25-27 minute range and has mostly between 22-29 FD points the last several games.

Guillermo Hernangomez (NYK) @ BRK: DK:$5,400/FD:$5,800

Hernangomez is back to playing minutes in the high 20s. He played 27 minutes yesterday and 28 the game before. He had 29.75 DK points yesterday and 34 the game before. The Nets have been struggling to defend big men over the last few weeks.

Hassan Whiteside (MIA) @ IND: DK:$7,800/FD:$8,500

Whiteside has feasted on the Pacers this season. He had 26 points, 22 rebounds and two blocks in the first matchup and 22 points and 17 rebounds in the last matchup.

Clint Capela ($5000/$5300) has three double-doubles in the last five games. Although he doesn't play 30 minutes often, he can reach 5-6X and is one of the highest scoring games of the slate.

Robin Lopez ($4300/$4600) had 15 points and eight rebounds in the last matchup with the Celtics. Lopez is coming off a dud, but had 24.3 and 28.3 FD points in the two games prior.
