Scouting The NHL DFS - Wednesday, March 15

Tonight we have a small four-game main slate in NHL DFS with no clear must plays. Cappy will be happy that I have the Penguins as my number one team to target. Good luck and let's cash!

  1. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS – The Penguins (43-16-9) travel to Philadelphia to face off with the Philadelphia Flyers (31-29-8). The last time these two teams met, Pittsburgh chased Flyers goalie Steve Mason after scoring three goals on just 13 shots. The Flyers are currently on a three-game losing streak and I expect that number to be four after the end of tonight's game.
  2. CALGARY FLAMES – The Flames (39-26-4) are red hot, having won 10 straight games. Tonight they host the Boston Bruins (37-26-6) who are on a little streak of their own, winning their last three games in a row. This could be a high scoring affair like a 5-to-4 overtime win for the Flames, but I’m thinking more of a 4-1 win for them as they have Chad Johnson in the net tonight, who has been a brick wall as of late.
  3. COLORADO AVALANCHE – Two of the worst teams in the NHL collide tonight when the Avalanche (19-46-3) host the Detroit Red Wings (26-30-11). Look for the Avalanche to seize the opportunity here and take it to the Red Wings. The Aves have Pickard in between the pipes tonight and I look for him to produce another strong outing, allowing only one goal tonight.
