Fantasy Hockey: Scouting The NHL DFS - Saturday, March 18

Go Scouting The NHL DFS with Fantasy Hockey Award Winning Writer Mr. Pucks!

We come to the best day of the week: Saturday! The NHL is treating us with a nice eight-game slate full of exciting games and great DFS plays. After a fun night yesterday, we are aiming for a repeat today. Let's jump the boards and check our lineups into the money.

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

Connor McDavid (Edm) -Center- ($8800 FD / $8100 DK)

McDavid is the future of the NHL and is currently in a tight battle with Crosby for league MVP. I see him continuing his dominance against a weak Canucks team. He currently has 79 points on the season and will move closer to 100 in this game. I see a goal and two assists while adding six shots.

Jaden Schwartz (Stl) -Wing- ($5700 FD / $5100 DK)

In a game where most will target Tarasenko against the Coyotes, I'm aiming for Schwartz. He is an assist machine, and he will score a goal on occasion. This will be that occasion. I see him getting a goal with two assists while easily exceeding value.

Artemi Panarin (Chi) -Wing- ($6800 FD / $6100 DK)

Heading to Toronto for a game I feel will be high scoring, Panarin will shine. He is currently on a four-game scoring streak and will extend that streak easily. He could very well be the highest scoring player on the slate. I expect two goals and two assists with four shots on net.

Mr. Pucks Sleeper Play

Yanni Gourde (TB) -Wing- ($3200 FD / $3600 DK)

Where injuries hurt one player, it helps another. With the Lightning suffering some injuries, Gourde gets his chance to shine. He is a young speedster with above average skills and hockey sense. I see him getting us a goal and an assist with two shots on while exceeding value with ease.

Teams To Target

Edmonton Oilers- The McDavid line will be popular and with good reason. The Nugent-Hopkins line is a nice pivot. Sekera is a great defensive play.

Chicago Blackhawks - Watch the morning skate for exact line combos. Whichever line Panarin is on, play that line. Keith on defense.

St. Louis Blues - As I mentioned above I like Schwartz and his top line tonight. A second line pairing of Steen-Perron is also a nice pivot. Pietrangelo or Parayko on defense.

Also Consider - TB 2, NSH 1, Car 2, Tor 1 or 2
