Fantasy Hockey: Scouting The NHL DFS - Friday, March 24

Cash in on DraftKings and FanDuel with FSWA Hockey Writer of the Year James Capone AKA Mr. Pucks!

We finally made it to my favorite day of the week: Friday! Seems though that the NHL don't feel the same. If I ran a multi-billion dollar company; I’d make sure my product floods the ice on a Friday night! The NHL instead gives us a four-game slate to enjoy tonight. I will be sticking to single-entry and three-entry max GPP games and cash myself. I'd implore you to do the same as me. Maximize your chances at winning. I also would suggest watching the video Scott did about game selection in DFS. Very good watch! Time to jump into the slate and pick up a win!

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

Nikita Kucherov (TBL) - Wing - ($8300 FD / $8100 DK)

If you are searching for the chalk, look no further than the Lightning and Kucherov. This young superstar has opened a ton of eyes and has thrown himself into the MVP conversation. With six goals in his last three game, he has pushed his season total 39 goals and 80 total points. The Lightning are three points out of the final playoff spot and have a somewhat easy schedule upcoming. They will move one step closer tonight, and Kucherov will help them do this. I can see two goals and five shots on net.

Rickard Rakell (ANA) - Wing - ($6200 FD / $6300 DK)

Rakell has been stepping up his game, and at the right time of the year to do so. He is currently on a five-game scoring streak, with five goals and three assists. He even potted the game-winning goal in his last game, and he will do the same tonight. I see another goal and an assist with four shots on goal. He and his linemates will be huge tonight.

Phil Kessel (PIT) - Wing - ($7200 FD / $6300 DK)

Kessel has been overlooked all season and understanding when you play on a team with Crosby and Malkin. Tonight though, he will be loud and score the game winning goal. After going 13 games without a goal, Kessel finally broke that drought a few games ago and is gaining confidence again. Tonight he gets us two goals and two assists with six shots on goal. Fire him and his linemates up, as I think Crosby's line will be higher owned.

Mr. Pucks Sleeper Play

Joel Ward (SJ) - Wing - ($3400 FD / $3800 DK)

The Sharks are in a great spot for the playoffs, and one of the reasons for this is role players. Ward is one of those role players that has worked himself into the top six. Currently, on the Sharks second line, he will be underused in DFS tonight. I feel he gets us two assists, three shots, and two blocked shots tonight and easily exceeds value.

Teams To Target

Pittsburgh Penguins - I will have exposure to the Pens second line of Hornqvist-Cullen-Kessel. I think the Crosby line will be silent and might only use Crosby with Kessel in a powerplay stack. Love Cole and Schultz on defense.

Tampa Bay Lightning - The top line of Palat-Point-Kucherov have scored six of the Lightning last 12 goals. Fire this stack up in your GPP lines or two of the three in cash. Also like Namestnikov-Drouin as a low owned pivot to the top line. Gourde-Erne as cheap exposure in a GPP as well with high upside. Hedman, Dotchin or Sustr on defense.

Anaheim Ducks - I feel the Ducks win a high scoring game tonight. The line of Rakell-Getzlaf-Eaves will be the top line in this game. Also consider Silfverberg-Cogliano or a full third line of Perry-Vermette-Ritchie as a nice pivot. Fowler and Lindholm.

Winnipeg Jets - As I mentioned I think this is a high scoring game. Laine-Little-Ehlers or Scheifele-Wheeler as plays in your lineup. Also like Copp-Armia as a cheap pivot. Byfuglien on defense.

Also Consider: Det 3, NYI 1

**As always check before puck drop to see if your goalie is starting**

Fleury - Cash/GPP
Vasilevskiy - GPP

Milestone Watch

Tyler Seguin (Dal) - Will be playing his 500th career NHL game tonight.
Patrick Sharp (Dal) - Needs one point to hit 60 in his career.
Nick Bonino (Pit) - Will be playing his 400th NHL game tonight.
Cal Clutterbuck (NYI) - Needs one goal to hit 100 in his career.
John Tavares (NYI) - Needs one assist to hit 300 in his career.
Josh Bailey (NYI) - Needs one point to hit 300 in his career.
