A long week is coming to an end and we have n nice slate to begin April with a bang. Yesterday worked out very well for some of us and we are looking to start the new month off with a ton of money in our pockets. Time to jump into this slate and start the process of building that money-winning lineup!

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

Nikita Kucherov (TBL) - Wing - ($8400 FD / $7800 DK)

After missing his last game with an Illness, Kucherov is rested and ready to go. This spells bad news for the Montreal Canadiens. Although I feel this will be a tight game, featuring two of the NHL's best players in Kucherov and Pacioretty, I see Kucherov shining on home ice. Currently in the midst of a five-game scoring streak (seven goals and four assists), Kucherov is doing everything he can to help the Bolts get the final wild card spot. I will have plenty of exposure to him along with center Brayden Point ($4500 FD / $5800 DK) in my cash game lineups. More so on FanDuel where Points' price is so much cheaper. Look for big things out of this top line tonight and use them with confidence.

Claude Giroux (Phi) - Center - ($6800 FD / $6000 DK)

With the Flyers sitting only six points out of the final wild card spot, I see it as a time when the stars of this team will rise and try to push themselves into the playoffs. They have a great test tonight against a Devils team that is playing the role of spoiler. Giroux has not scored a goal since February 15th in a home game against my beloved Penguins. Tonight's game will be the time he needs to turn it around and start a run towards that wild card. I love the entire first line of Voracek-Giroux-Weal in GPP contests, as I think they will be just moderately owned. Giroux will have one of his best games of the season and score two goals while adding two assists and six shots on net.

William Nylander (Tor) - Wing - ($6300 FD / $6200 DK)

Nylander and his vaunted Maple Leafs offense head to Detroit to take on a Red Wings team (much like the Devils), looking to finish the season off on a high note by spoiling other teams' playoff dreams. Toronto is currently holding onto the 6th seed in the playoffs, and will look to lock a spot in the postseason. Nylander just had his 11-game point scoring streak (four goals and 10 assists) snapped against the Nashville Predators. He is looking to start a new streak against a weak Red Wings team. I am targeting a cash pair of Nylander and Auston Matthews ($7200 FD / $7600 DK) as I think they will be a bit too chalky for GPPs, though I would not fully fade them in a GPP either. I like Nylander for a goal and two assists, with four shots on net.

Mr. Pucks Sleeper Play

Phil Di Giuseppe (Car) - Wing- ($3200 FD / 3400 DK)

Di Giuseppe is playing for a spot on next year's team, and he really needs to step it up in these final few games to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff. The Hurricanes are currently five points out of the final wild card spot, but I think they fall just short of making the playoffs. Di Giuseppe is a role player who can throw a huge hit and separate body from puck. Playing against a Dallas Stars team that is destined for a huge overhaul in the offseason, I see Di Giuseppe taking advantage in the bright lights tonight. Currently slated on the ‘Canes fourth line, his ice time is limited. I still see him producing at least an assist with four shots on net. And with him having the talent to score, a possible goal. He's a great cap saver and a way to gain exposure to a game I think the Hurricanes win with ease.

Teams To Target

Tampa Bay Lightning - As I mentioned above, the pair of Kucherov-Point will be a nice cash game play, toss in Palat for a full line stack in GPPs. You can also target (as I will in a few lineups) the second line pairing of Namestnikov-Drouin in either cash or GPP. Will only use either Hedman or Dotchin on defense.

Montreal Canadiens - I can not look at a slate and not work in my favorite dfs player in Max Pacioretty. I will have a few lineups with him and his centerman Danault tonight, as well as looking at a gpp play of Galchenyuk-Lehkonen. Weber is a safe defensive play as well as is Markov or Beaulieu.

Toronto Maple Leafs -  I think a lot of people will target this game. It is just a matter of which line you like the most. I like the Play of Matthews-Nylander as mentioned above, but do not overlook van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Marner in GPP. Those three are one of the better lines on tonight's slate. Defensively speaking, I really like Zaitsev in this game.

Philadelphia Flyers  - I feel not as many people will target this game with some other juicy matchups on the slate. I will have the top line of Voracek-Giroux-Weal in some of my GPP lineups, and also like a two player second line pairing of Simmonds-Filppula. Gostisbehere has worked his way out of the dog house and is making noise, I am using him in my cash lineups for sure as well as a few GPP. Also like Gudas to make some noise tonight.

Also Consider: Car 1 & 4, WPG 2, Dal 1, Det 3

Goalies

**As always check before puck drop to see if your goalie is starting*

  • Ward - Cash/GPP (Fav cash play tonight.)
  • F. Anderson - Cash/GPP
  • Talbot - GPP
  • Gibson - GPP (First game back from inj so be cautious)
  • Hellebuyck - GPP
  • Neuvirth - GPP (Fav gpp play tonight)
