Scouting The NHL DFS - Saturday, April 8

Score on DraftKings and FanDuel with Mr. Pucks and his NHL DFS picks of the day!

Here we are on the last weekend of the regular season. There is still one last spot up for grabs in the playoffs. The Lightning sit one point behind the Maple Leafs for the final wild card spot. Most teams will be resting their stars for the final games, and a lot of rookies and AHL guys will get a chance to play. These last two games are ones you need to but conventional thinking aside and get risky. Leaving some money on the table is ok as players prices will be lower. Time to get your war face on and win some money.

With this being my last regular season NHL write up, I want to thank the Scout Army for such a great season. You guys make what I do fun. I hope I helped you all enjoy the game I love and win money at it. I appreciate everyone and thank everyone from the bottom of skates to the top of my fight straps.

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

Henrik Zetterberg (DET) - Center - ($6000 FD / $5600 DK)

The Red Wings will miss the playoffs this year but will want to go out with a bang. The Canadiens have already announced they left a lot of players in Tampa and will field a light team. Zetterberg will take advantage and end the season on a high note. I expect him to come out and control the action. I see two goals and an assist with five shots on net.

Jack Eichel (BUF) - Center - ($7700 FD / $7800 DK)

Eichel is three points away from a 60 point season, which is an accomplishment considering the amount of time he lost to injury to start the season. The Sabres head into South Florida to face the Panthers. I feel Buffalo is the better team and will own the ice. Eichel will get his three points with two goals and one assist with five shots.

James Van Riemsdyk (Tor) - Wing - ($6000 FD / $5700 DK)

The Maple Leafs need to win this game to secure the final wild card spot. There is no telling how this game will go, but JVR will do everything he can to help lock that last spot down. I feel he scores a goal tonight and adds three assists. I feel this game will be high scoring.

Mr. Pucks Sleeper Play

Adam Cracknell (Dal) - Wing - ($3300 FD / 3300 DK)

For Cracknell and his Stars, this game is their Stanley Cup. They look to give their home fans a win to close out the season. Currently slated on the second line, he has huge upside and value. I feel he gets a goal against an awful Avs team. Great cap saver with great upside.

Teams To Target

Toronto Maple Leafs - I think a lot of people will skip this game. It is just a matter of which line you like the most. I like the Play of Matthews-Nylander in cash. I love the play of van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Marner in GPP. Those three are one of the better lines on tonight's slate. Defensively speaking, I like Zaitsev in this game.

Philadelphia Flyers - I feel not as many people will target this game with some other juicy matchups on the slate. I will have the top line of Voracek-Giroux-Weal in some of my GPP lineups, and also like a two player second line pairing of Simmonds-Filppula. Gostisbehere has worked his way out of the doghouse and is making noise; I am using him in my cash lineups for sure as well as a few GPP. Also like Gudas to make some noise tonight.

Dallas Stars - They will be somewhat chalky playing the Avs. The top line of Eakin-Benn will be a nice two player stack as will the second line of Seguin-Cracknell. Love Klingberg on defense as well as Hamhuis.

Detroit Red Wings - The Wings will be low owned as most will go Montreal. Well, Montreal left a lot of players in Tampa. Stack the top line of Tatar-Zetterberg-Nyquist and watch them win you money. Also like Larkin to score as well. Green or Dekeyser on defense.

Also Consider: Chi 2, Min 1, Ott 1, WPG 2, Was 1, Pit 1, Buf 1
