Fantasy Basketball: Scouting The NBA DFS - Monday, April 10

It's the toughest time of year to predict the top NBA DFS plays due to the increasing rest that head coaches are dolling out to their respective star players. Daily Fantasy Sports Expert Adam Ronis will help you navigate through tonight's difficult NBA slate of action!

Plays of the Day

Value: Boban Marjanovic has produced more than a fantasy point per minute in his career. He has two straight double-doubles and played 28 and 23 minutes in those games. The Pistons have already scaled back the minutes for the starters and Marjanovic only needs 25-28 minutes to provide great value.

Fade: John Wall is a game-time decision due to a sore quad. Coach Scott Brooks said the starters will play limited minutes so be careful with all Wizards starters.

Game Lines

  1. Los Angeles Clippers (-7) hosting Houston Rockets (Over/Under = 229.5)
  2. Boston Celtics (-11) hosting Brooklyn Nets (Over/Under = 223)

Point Guards

Isaiah Thomas (BOS) vs. BRK DK:$8,300/FD:$8,800

With three days left in the regular season, it's real difficult to get a gauge on how many minutes certain players will get. Finding teams that are playing for something on the line will at least ensure minutes and the Celtics are tied with the Cavaliers for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers hold the tiebreaker but the Celtics will be playing everyone full minutes. Thomas scored 32 points and 35 points the last two games and gets a bad Nets defense.

Chris Paul (LAC) vs. HOU DK:$8,600/FD:$9,600

Paul is playing in the highest projected game of the night and the Clippers are playing for home court advantage in the first round against the Jazz. The Rockets might rest or limit the minutes of their starters. Paul has at least 46.75 DK points in five straight games.

Brandon Jennings ($3500/$3600) would emerge as a top value play if John Wall is out.

Jerian Grant ($4700/$4000) is a good value on FD with Rajon Rondo out again. Grant has 28.1 and 35.1 FD points in two games he has started last week.

Shooting Guards

Avery Bradley (BOS) vs. BRK DK:$6,100/FD:$6,400

Bradley has played at least 34 minutes in three straight games since returning from injury and is coming off his best game of the three. We want players right now where the minutes are assured and he gets a great matchup against the Nets.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) vs. CHA DK:$10,000/FD:$10,000

He has four double-doubles in the last five games and has at least 49.75 DK points in four of the last six games. The Bucks have clinched a playoff spot and are playing for seeding. There's been no word as of yet to the Bucks resting or limiting minutes for their starters.

Jeremy Lamb ($4000/$4400) could be in line for more minutes tonight. Marco Belinelli is questionable and Kemba Walker is doubtful.

J.J. Redick ($4900/$4700) is boom or bust, but is playing in a high-paced game and if there is any game in which he can go 5X, it's this one.

Small Forwards

LeBron James (CLE) @MIA DK:$10,600/FD:$10,900

The Cavaliers would like to rest players, but after blowing a huge lead and losing to the Hawks on Sunday, they are tied for the Celtics for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. James is playing big minutes and has three triple-doubles in the last five games.

Jimmy Butler (CHI) vs. ORL DK:$10,500/FD:$10,400

The Bulls are tied with Miami for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and hold the tiebreaker. They need to win to hold the spot and Butler has been playing huge minutes with a high usage rate. He has played at least 37 minutes in nine of the last ten games.

Troy Williams ($3800/$3500) could emerge as a value play if he starts. Williams started yesterday and played 36 minutes, producing 26.75 DK points. He played 39 minutes against the Suns on April 2 and had 36.25 DK points.

Joe Ingles ($4600/$4100) will be in line for a lot of minutes tonight. Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood, and Raul Neto have been ruled out, while Gordon Hayward and George Hill are questionable.

Power Forwards

James Johnson (MIA) vs. CLE DK:$6,800/FD:$6,500

Johnson has played 37 and 38 minutes the last two games and the Heat are fighting for a playoff spot. Johnson can fill up the stat sheet and has produced 39.75, 49 and 41.5 DK points over the last three games.

Blake Griffin (LAC) vs. HOU DK:$8,400/FD:$9,300

The Clippers are battling for home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs against the Jazz. The minutes will be there for their starters in a great matchup barring a blowout. Griffin has at least 46.25 DK points in four of the last five games.

Maurice Harkless ($3600/$3600) will be in line for big minutes again if Allen Crabbe is out and the Trail Blazers might limit the minutes of the starting backcourt.

Henry Ellenson ($4100/$3500) has played 26 and 28 minutes the last two games and had 19.8 and 29.2 FD points.

DeAndre Jordan (LAC) vs. HOU DK:$7,300/FD:$8,200

Jordan has at least 36.75 DK points in six straight games and is too cheap on DK. He has played at least 33 minutes in five straight games and the Clippers are playing for home court advantage in the first round.

Myles Turner (IND) @PHI DK:$6,400/FD:$6,800

Turner has struggled recently, but had 23 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots for 42 DK points Saturday against the Magic. Turner gets another favorable matchup against the 76ers and the Pacers are battling for a playoff spot.

Boban Marjanovic ($5000/$3600) has two straight double-doubles and played 28 and 23 minutes in those games. The Pistons have been eliminated from the playoffs and the minutes for the starters have been cut back.

Ian Mahinmi ($3300/$3700) could emerge as a value if the Wizards rest their starters.
